Holm vs Cyborg was the fight to make

This would have been an interesting match up because Holm is a huge 135 lbs and she's a world class striker. We saw how Cyborg lost to someone who was bigger than her and a better striker than her (Jorina Baars) and it would have been interesting for Holm to be her first UFC fight.

She'll be 34 years old soon, she's been fighting professionally for 13 years. She has no children. Biological clock is ticking, and if she loses a fight before fighting Ronda, it will potentially set her back a couple of years. More, if she gets injured. And considering her age and experience, she's likely to get more and more injured in the next years, if she keeps fighting.

This was the right fight to make. It's not optimal, but it was now or never.

LOl, Cyborg lost in MUAY THAI to a MUAY THAI CHAMP. IN mma she would've crippled Baars. Plus, if Joorina couldn't finish her in a Muay Thai fight, what makes you think anyone in MMA is going to outstrike her.


Cyborg vs Holm SHOULD have been the fight, or CYborg vs Tate, and Cyborg would've killed either of them.

So for the second time in a row, Ronda will fight a women with less than ten fights, and who has only been fighting for a few years. Two UFC wins against fighters outside the top ten gets you a title fight in this division. Brock was definitely right, Ronda is a giant in a division of mites.

Still may be the fight to make after Ronda snaps her arm in under 1:00 minute. If Cyborg doesn't get put up against Tate for her first fight, then she could fight Holm, beat her and then fight Ronda. There are definitely a few possibility, but they all include Cyborg at this point imo.

This was a big mistake from the UFC. If this is the main event, it will be one of the lowest PPVs in years. To be honest, I still haven't bought into the Rousey hype, and would not pay to watch her. But, with her Fighting Holms, I wouldn't even be interested in seeing it free. It doesn't make sense to send someone in there that has looked so inexperienced.
