A lot of people shitting on Holm's striking based on her one UFC fight but I think she puts it together better in this fight. Assuming she can stop Marion from taking her down (I think she can), this stands an excellent chance of being a great fight. I like Marion, too, but my initial feeling is that Holm takes it. Good match up, though!

To think only a year ago FOX Noobs were hailing Holm as the Rousey-killer and Dana White was accused of "ducking Holm" to "protect Rousey".

Now that she's signed, Holm barely registered a bleep on the Heavies' radar.

Good point. She just looked so bad in her debut, that it's hard to think she's a threat. She was getting tagged whenever Pennington brawled wildly, and Holm didn't really seem to have any stopping power in her punches. Bad defense+lack of KO power= I'm not excited.

Holly Holm via unanimous decision.

She was really nervous, shaking like a leaf.

But it was pretty clear she would need to last 5 rounds with Ronda and hope to get the decision, not likely to happen. Outside chance of a head kick KO I guess, but if she tries to kick a lot she will just get taken down.

Holm may be a very discipline striker, but in MMA, striking with bad intentions is just as important. Holm point fights and circles. I think Reneau wins a close decision.

Don't worry. Once the UFC hires Lenny Fresquez as matchmaker, Holm will be a monster again.

What people dont understand about Holm is that she has probably the best TDD in the WMMA and that she will be very difficult to outpoint on the feet because she is very active with her striking and at the same time she is an extremely defensively minded striker.

Holm continues her unbeaten streak with another pointfighting decision win. It might be close decision, but she will outstrike Reneau.

I see this about 75/25 for Holm.

Yes, it means exactly that. She's supposed to be a highlevel -DANGEROUS- striker. This doesn't come without power. She isn't particularly accurate either. She does have decent kicks however. But she was supposed to be a destroyer for worlds when she came in, and she simply isn't at all.

I guess she read the sherdog forum guys shitty opinions on the quality of the UFC's female bantamweights and figured that she was going to walk in and just head kick everyone into oblivion without much resistance.

leaning towards Reneau.

50/50 right now through 26 votes.
