That is my feeling as well - Val was just too small for her but still held her own and commanded enough respect to mostly nullify Nunes.
 
I don't think Holly will win. The trouble with her is she throws so many 'air-strikes' and that noise she makes is infuriating. You watch her, it's as if she really scared of getting hit. So many times she's a good 4-5 inches away from her opponents head. When she fought Valentina she was sometimes 1-2 feet short! She puts all that energy into these air-strikes, it's such a waste.
It's actually quite surprizing considering she was supposed to be such an elite boxer once.
 
Well Holly is a lefty and nunes a right handed - so a left round house to nunes head is the first thing that Holly should throw and keep throwing. He has the length and size to do what Val could not. Nunes is a puncher and holly needs to take away that weapon. Keep slamming her shin in to those forearms over and over.

Because this is MMA, I've always thought she doesn't throw punches with all her power because she's very careful to not get take down. That's what happens, due to if she gets take down she's going to be in trouble because she doesn't have a wrestling backround.

I think that's why she doesn't use her full boxing skills, especially after her fight with Tate when she was dominating the whole fight and got caught by one takedown in the last round.

But in my opinion, stand-up, she can go toe to toe with anyone.
 
Amanda is beatable

Sloppy looping arm punches shouldnt be working this well, but it is wmma so...

Styles make fights guys! I don't see Amanda KO'ing Holly, her style is completely different to Cyborg and Rousey. Holly has a very good footwork and her head movement is good as well, she's very fast and her movements are great, her cardio is amazing. Also, she's a good counter striker and she has great kicks that can put anyone to sleep.

The only Amanda's oponent who had a symilar style to Holly is Valentina (a counter striker), and Amanda won by a split desicion in a fight where most people think that Valentina got robbed. Also, Valentina is an smaller fighter, Amanda is not going to have that huge size advantage with Holly.

I think Amanda is going to throw a lot of low kicks to slow Holly down because she knows Holly moves a lot so to catch Holly is not going to be easy.
Probably Amanda will try to take Holly down because to beat her on the ground would be easier, but Holly has good TDD, however I hope she's improved more in that because Amanda is well rounded.

Amanda is a beast, she's the hardest female hitter, but Holly knows that already, she will be very careful (she always is, that's her style) Holly is smart she will not make that Cyborg mistake.

Holly's stand-up is good, she has to stop the takedowns and be careful with Amanda's low kick. She has to move a lot. I see her winning by desicion and if she lands her kicks, she could surprise Amanda.

If it's a 5 round fight (which I believe it is) Holly's chance of winning increases. If she sticks and moves I think she could wear Amanda out. Either way it should be a fun scrap.

Other than a past her prime,injured,didnt get good sleep that night,under alot of pressure Ronda,Holly aint never beat nobody. I really like her and want her to do well,she has all the physical tools one needs,but her style is predictable and limited,and thats never going to change.
