Omg the final boss in act3 (pretty sure it’s her) is the cheesiest cheapest bitch of a boss ever. She is a fucking cheat code and a half. Even if I beat her it will not feel rewarding. Fucking dick of a final boss.

Finally!!! Beat Act 3 and got the true ending. 109 hours 97%. 92% was all on my own (aside from looking for best farming spots and which version of silkshot to get). Took me another 3 hours to get to 100%, had to figure out what I was missing.

I think the last boss is absolute horseshit cheese. I had to return to the surface to farm rosaries/shards twice. I ended thinking of a brilliant idea.

I had fucked around with the architect crest (2nd favorite) and if you combine that with plasmium phial (you inject yourself 9 times) you can create a build that regens health continually. I added the wisp fire lantern for auto periodic fire attacks since I didn’t need a silk to heal and used the silk shot/cogfly which I didn’t unleash till the 3rd stage.

First time I dropped down with the build it wouldn’t work. The infinite health was removed after diving into the area. Tried it again and same thing. Was going to give up on it but then I thought what if I activated it inside the arena?.. so I injected myself 8 times first before diving in. Injected the 9th one in there and it worked!! Was so happy. Still died bunch of times before I finally beat her. Literally on my last shards.. had I died I would have had to go back up to the surface to farm some more. But the build worked perfectly as didn’t have to think too much on healing myself.

Final grade 8.5/10. This game is still awesome but that final boss was not rewarding to me. Way too cheesy. And the farming of rosaries/shards felt grindingly stupid. Coming from Lies of P I didn’t have to farm anything aside from levels. So this grind was unbearably annoying.

i hear this a bit, what i tended to do, am im still playing it, is to spend half an hour farming beads and then turning them all into bracelets every 7 hours or so

Continued after a month break, installed boss healt bars and mod to skip the damn flea games to get the last damage upgrade. Karmelita went down without too much trouble, was able to pretty much zerg down the final third of her hp. Seth was a nice boss but thats about it. Banging my head against Lost Lace now.

I dont know how has Team Cherry managed to fail this boss visually. It is just all fucking black goo?? It is all so very tiresome, story so far about act 3 for me.

Finished. Lost Lace can suck it. I dont even really know what happened in the final phase with all the black shit covering everything but it died.

Trying the speedrunner achievement, quite enjoyed everything up until act 3. 1 hour to halfway home, damn I suck with the hunter crest.

Act 3 killed my desire to play the game.

Continued my speedrun, 2h14min to act 2, 100% not happening on the first run. Really struggling with the default crest and without clawline, it just so good mobility tool to get back to bosses, now I keep dashing to the them instead and keep getting hit over and over again.

I have not managed to down a single boss on the first try, even died to the Bell Beast lol.

Think I need to grab some masks and other upgrades and switch to the wanderers crest for next try.

It is quite fun though. Really makes you appreciate how good act 1 and 2 are compared to 3.

I've been stuck on the absurd gauntlet in High Halls for hours now. I can usually get to the large creatures in the last phase and always die there trying to wall grab and pogo. Any tips for how to defeat them as quickly and easily as possible? I'm losing my mind with it.

For some reason I got the bug duo to help me on the high halls arena on the speedrun attempt? Got it on first attempt with 5 masks. A bit over 6 hours to get to second Lace fight.

Need lots of practice on Lace and Trobbio.

Get tacks from Sinner Road.

Poison tacks and cog flies. Also the tool that helps you stick to the wall.

I never beat the original Hollow Knight. Not sure why. just stopped 3/4 of the way (did it twice on Switch and PS). Decided to start a fresh run to see how much easier it is after beating Silksong. Anyway, the game was actually much easier than how i remembered it. The game is a tad bit slower compared to Silksong so the enemies are easier and simpler IMO. I did have to attempt beating Radiance about 10-15 times or so but it wasn't uber frustrating. Everything else was pretty easy to me.

Got the worst ending at 101% then couldn't figure out how to get the other ones so i looked it up. Finished 4 out of the 5 endings at 105%. I am pretty sure i can get the 5th one but i am tired of this (finally). I didn't beat Nightmare King Grimm nor run the Pantheon.

Got the 5h completion, it was actually quite enjoyable. Going for the 30h one now and god damn I have to say act 3 sucks and you really notice it the second you fight the first black oil buffed mob. And quess who is stuck at the Sands of Karrak tower again. Good thing I have some 15h to waste on it lol

edit. got it on the next try. That damn arena pre-tilts me

Fuck the sprint master and the flea games

I just kept smacking him and installed mod to make flea games fk off.

Still chipping away at this. Beat the flea games and Karmelita today. Lost lace is all that's left.

Took 2.5 hours to beat Lost Lace. Fun fight after a while. No bullshit runback or gauntlet which was nice.

Back into this after a lengthy break with Arc Raiders/BF6. Beat Seth and Nyleth today, currently on Karmelita and struggling, been close a few times. Assuming the final boss is next

Finished it earlier, probably enjoyed it slightly less than Hollow Knight but it's still an epic journey, fantastic game.

Lost Lace was reasonably hard but I definitely had more trouble with Karmelita. 2 great fights to end the game.
