Holiday Deals Thread 2024

I like crossing my legs too! My NeueChair is the best back experience I’ve ever had but can’t cross my legs in it. Bah.

If its comfortable for you that's all that matters, especially back support. I can't get over some of the terrible chairs people will sit in for long periods. You can get some ergonomically comfy chairs for cheap too.

I do a lot of typing, video/photo editing, graphics, and especially for photo/graphics I need to sit properly to be precise.

You can lounge with gaming more, especially when using a controller.

I really want to get this bad boy and the atlas headrest peripheral. I work in shorts or my underwear a lot so my Herman Miller pinched my skin. I really miss that chair but the fatboy seats I have now have done well for me.

It's better than my OG but its the back frame with the blue that's also so damn aesthetically pleasing, and you can cross your legs better. I will have it one day!

I don't think there's a better looking chair out there.

Crossing your legs is for women. When you’re hung like a horse like I am it is literally impossible to sit in that position. I’m just playing man lol, do what makes you comfortable.
I mean cross-legged or lotus position, as Google tells me is an alternative term. Like an old hotel, big ballroom.

Target had the PS5 controller discounted. Considered buying one in advance of the first one having involuntary movement problems.

Correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t Black Friday usually after Thanksgiving? Why did it start early this year?

Some places here in the UK started weeks ago and we don't even celebrate Thanksgiving

It's like a cowboy fast draw duel. Who draws first gets the sale/revenue.

Okay folks here is the best deal by far. You ready? Silent Hill 2 is 30 bucks at Walmart. Just go online now and buy it off there. Totally worth it and I can’t believe that is 40 dollars off. Crazy

Ouch.
SH2 must not be selling well.

Shit, went to buy it and it's sold out.

If you're a new customer, you can use code HOLIDAY30 to save $30 on a purchase of $60 or more on qvc.com. Free shipping. Looks like their controllers are on sale right now, too, so you could get a Dualsense with a charging dock for $35.
Should work for games, too, but I imagine you'll have to add something to the order if the game is $59.99.

I don’t think so. They celebrated one million sales just a few days after it released. Most companies that do that are usually happy with what they’re seeing. Maybe they know that the people who buy this are limited and it’s not Halloween season anymore so they’re just going for as many sales as possible now.

I ordered a Switch/Mario Kart bundle for my girlfriend from Target which was 224.99 and went to pick it up, for whatever reason it came out to around 200 total after tax. They honored the price even though they scrambled like crazy to make sure the others were actual price.

Might grab up a couple of other games now.

Its still very weird for a game released like 4 weeks ago and 'sold well' to get a -50% price for black friday.

Sonic games are usually 40 percent off during this time as well and for the past 4 years they’ve continued to release their games in October. Origins, Frontiers, Superstars, and now Sonic x Shadow Generations. Seems to be working for them so I think it might not hurt them as much as we think

Since Ultimate is now $19.99/mo this is a substantial discount (-58.3%).

My Black Friday purchase was involuntarily returned to seller and refunded due to damage or refused. They should just re-send me one instead of offering it at full price. Maybe I should try to pursue the deals in store and avoid this nonsense.

Kinda tardy to the party here, but dekudeals.com is your friend. Consolidates all game deals into one site.

My backlog of games is a little too large, but Sea of Stars for $25 was tempting

Haven't done it yet but I'm going to grab Yakuza the man who erased his name and Star wars dual pack which is only $20 which I only need Jedi survivor. Also thinking of grabbing Alien Isolation, I know it's 30 FPS only but hoping I can deal with it and it's so cheap who cares.

Is MLB The Show '24 worth buying? I read it came out months ago and saw it at two places $19.99 new.

I'm thinking whatever I buy should be for PS5 since it's getting hard to find new PS4 controllers.
