I don't know much about medicine, admittedly, though her collapse did look pretty severe to a layman.

It's difficult to know what's true and what's false these days. Considering they wait until people write her off to disclose that she was actually sick all along, I don't consider the explanation they deign to give us to be trustworthy.

pneumonia is simply having fluid in the lungs. There are several causes, some viral, some bacterial, some because dysphagia and swallow your own spit and shit.
