Everyone is talking about the hardest hitter Vs worst responder to getting hit angle, but I think people are overlooking the key reason Hunt is a nightmare matchup for Brock.
Does Hunto hit like a truck? Absolutely. But so do Roy Nelson, Big Ben and a number of other fighters in the HW division that I would favor Brock over. The difference between Hunt and those haymaker throwing monsters is how efficient and technical his striking is. Hunt rarely fully commits to a strike. Most of his walk off KOs are on short little hooks or uppercuts that he sneaks through the defense.
Why does this matter? Lesnar could likely bull rush Big Country without getting hit by his titanic overhand right, but with Hunt, the chances of Lesnar getting clipped from a strange angle as he comes forward or changes levels is really high. Can Lesnar absorb some punishment in order to get in close or complete a power double? Maybe, but usually when Hunt touches someone it's lights out.
Outside Werdum or sea level Cain, Hunt is the worst possible matchup for Brock.
