Georges left the sport on a controversial split decision with Hendricks and he was beaten up pretty badly. It was a good time to exit because the pack caught up to him.

In his prime, he was absolutely the best and it wasn't close. Freak athlete, good at everything, incredibly well disciplined and a hard worker. Time keeps moving though and his time passed.

Dude retired a multi multimillionaire with a functioning brain and a national hero in Canada. Arguably the most successful exit from MMA in the history of the sport.

Personally I hope he stays retired.

GSP is the GOAT. With Silva and Jones being caught cheating and Fedor refusing to fight the top dogs there is no other answer.

GSP retired at 32 after a controversial split decision win and when USADA was being implemented. Not sure how you can say fedor is ducking people when GSP retired early to duck fights. Maybe he will be GOAT paleontologist one day but he wont be the GOAT mma fighter
