Is it better to have granite chin and absorb punishment or to have an ok chin and go out? I mean for the longevity of the fighter's health wise?

Nobody at Sherdog can answer that.

Nobody anywhere can really give an answer to such a strong hypothetical. It will be fun to read the nonsense.....

Well you see when the time come you go but if you don't go you go somewhere else in time and then it's not where you want to be unless it's where you already are and that's where you really want to be.

Granite chin and absorb punishment, I guess. I cant figure out why neither of the diaz brothers' chins haven't deteriorated over the years. Chuck Liddell doesnt have a chin and has CTE symptoms in interviews.

1 punch = KO is generally better than 50 punches = no KO

No deaths in boxing have ever been 1 punch deaths. Its always a brutal accumulation.

Well if you aren't being Ko'd the guy isn't punching you hard enough.

Niether of them is good for your health. Pro long brain trauma leads to brain damage. Being Ko leads to brain damage. Your brain is being shut off for a reason.

So the accumulation of punches = shorter brain life?

Look at Overeem: he got Ko several times and he still talks without slurring.

So which is worse in your opinion?

It's better to have the wherewithal to slip and avoid punishment while controlling your opponent and scoring the 'W'.

CTE is no joke.

They are equally bad, bro. The point of impact, accumulated damage over time, the amount of power in each shot all play a factor.

The way they test for CTE is a brain examination after death. There's no accurate way to measure it when you are alive.

GOAT chin Jake LaMotta died at 96.

Chins are a mysterious thing.
Hagler and Chuvalo both have better chins imo. To answer the TS I think it's better to have an ok chin and to be put out of only a little damage. Sustained beatings lead to CTE.

It's better to go out. Your brain is design to shut off to keep you from taking any more damage. Guys that take more damage before going out only ruin there brains even more, which is why they end up fucked up later in life.

For longevity and health? Choose a different career path.
