none of the refs are as bad as people say around here. even for the smartest people split second decisions leave a lot to be desired. theirs just occur in front of millions of people while two dudes are beating each other to submission.

Yeah, Herb really isn't as bad as most ppl consider him imho. In the heat of the moment, he chose to let Weidman fight through and Chris threw those baby punches after the elbows. If at any moment, the fight should have been stopped when the hellbows were breaking through because Chris blocked most of the punches right after. He also go right up though was wobbly. Like I said, weebles and shit.

Herb Dean is becoming pretty inconsistent these days. Watching old fights and seeing the calls he made then and now is kind of alarming to say the least.

I know and I understand referees have to make judgement calls in seconds and it can't always be right, but that's probably why I ain't" a ref.

Honestly, Herb Dean has been judging a lot of fights like a fan. His presence is just not there anymore. Oh well.

Yeah but if it wasnt for the end of the round how long was Herb going to let it go on for? Wiedman couldnt defend nor move to a more favourable position, so just letting the beating go on because the round was ending soon was negligent.
