Lived in Brazil for 4 yearstill speaks portugese?
Well gastelum and cejudo don't really speak portuguese, they speak portunhol, they just use some portuguese words and a bunch of spanish words in the middle since the languages are so similar they can have full conversations by doing such. Till on the other hand does speak legit portuguese, his accent is a bit stronger than cejudo and ccc ( since english phonetics are not even close to portuguese phonetics ) but he is indeed basicaly fluentthats so shocking...
No he doesn't, they costa probably spoke portuguese to romero and romero spoke spanish to costaDoes Romero also speak Portuguese? He communicated with Costa after the fight. Did they speak Spanish or Portuguese?
still no ground game lolLived in Brazil for 4 years
Has a kid there
I mean... He has a kid in Brazil, he has some sort of ground gamestill no ground game lol

They both speak ok English, for how short the conversation was it was probably English.Does Romero also speak Portuguese? He communicated with Costa after the fight. Did they speak Spanish or Portuguese?
Romero's coach also joined them, but he doesn't speak English. They both speak ok English, for how short the conversation was it was probably English.
They could understand each other well that way?No he doesn't, they costa probably spoke portuguese to romero and romero spoke spanish to costa
Yep, if they talk slow you usually can get about 80% of what the other speaker is saying ( in case you speak spanish or portuguese ) but i heard from spanish speakers that portuguese speakers can understand spanish speakers better than vice-versaThey could understand each other well that way?
Lets give a basic fighter speech to his oponent so you have an ideaThey could understand each other well that way?
Basic ground n pound at best... i think what we've seen of him is the full package...I mean... He has a kid in Brazil, he has some sort of ground game

Cejudo had a Brazilian girlfriend and Till has a Brazilian wife and kids. They can hold their own for sure.To be honest I think he speaks portuguese very well. I saw him teaching wrestling to bjj brazilian fighters ans was awesome. Gastelum and Till they also speak portuguese with confidence.
tio in Spanish means uncle, at least in Mexican Spanish. Dude would be like güey(wey), compa, or amigoLets give a basic fighter speech to his oponent so you have an idea
English: hey dude you are really good, that was a hard fight congratulations.
Portuguese: ei cara você é muito bom, foi uma luta dificil parabéns
Spanish:
oye tio eres muy bueno, fue una pelea dura, felicidades
The word dura can also be used in the place of dificil in portuguese (hard), althought is not as common, and tio can also be used as cara (dude) although not as common in portuguese ( actually tio would be used as a slang word for dude in portuguese ) so all and all yeah, you can usually guess what the other one is saying if you pay attention and if you know even a little bit of the words that are not cognates in both languages them it gets even easier.
Well i just put the portuguese part in the translator for spanish lol, tio also means uncle in portuguese but it can be used as a slang word for dude (although not common ) but yeah still there are a lot of similar words in both languages with similar meanings. Amigo means friend in portuguese so yeah even if yoel called paulo costa amigo than paulo would understand the he was saying dude/friendtio in Spanish means uncle, at least in Mexican Spanish. Dude would be like güey(wey), compa, or amigo
