Helwani haters eat crow

Mate YOU guys are the ones trying to have it both ways.

How do you figure?

Ariel's haters mocked him after the Brock incident...they seemed to feel he got what he deserved for spoiling the news, made fun of him for crying on tv, etc.

Now, his haters are calling him out for NOT revealing whatever he knows...or, covering up for this otherwise inconsistent position, claiming he just knows nothing and is attention r-whoring.

It seems like a case of simply not liking him and shaping their current position around that dislike.

Conor just basically confirmed that what have been told to Ariel at least. Dana just BS-ing as usual.

White said that he won’t be speaking further about the situation until he is finally ready to return. “It’s the business, man,” White continued, having previously been forced into similar situations.

“This is the way it goes. And from here on I’m not going to talk about it until when he’s healed and he’s right. Then we’ll look at the landscape and see what we can figure out.”

People hated Ariel for the Brock incident because he simply could've waited 2 hours and covered the UFC's planned surprise announcement when it happened regardless instead of ruining it for everybody so he could have the scoop first.

Not because as a journalist he's not supposed to report the news.

People are hating him here because he knew about the injury for 2 fucking weeks and kept it under wraps, actively pretending he had no idea what was causing everything. He also knew Pereira/Jiri 2 was coming and kept pretending not to know what the replacement fight was going to be.

They're not the same thing at all, and he's rightfully getting shit on for both of them because he clearly has zero standards of conduct.

He was also saying there is great positivity that fight was going forward. He was flip flopping like a fish out of water so STFU with this holier than thou shit.
For the hundredth time, he wasn't flip flopping. He wasn't giving a prediction. He was reporting on the situation as it went down. You fucking idiots need a tutorial on how reporting works

Here's a pro tip. You know you are saying something stupid when @markg171 and @Oscar Madison are the two morons liking your post. Tweedledum and Tweedledee.

If that is the case then why is your dumb fucking ass giving him credit? all he did was report as it went down. So why do haters have to eat crow? He literally did nothing on his own merits. So again fuck off with your holier than thou bullshit. Clown.

Who is saying he did anything clever? He did what he typically does to report on a story, reach out to his sources and find out what is going on. This was business as usual for him but the haters have to pretend like he's talking out of his ass or something. They live in bizarre world where basic reporting has to have some conspiracy behind it.

It's just funny they think the guy who has John Kavanagh on his podcast every few months to shoot the shit wouldn't have access to inside information on Conor's camp.
He guessed every possible outcome

And literally came to the same obvious conclusions everyone else did with the same publicly available info

Dunno why people are so impressed with someone pointing out the obvious

Other than "derr,, he pure hates the pink goof"

This board had a better track record than Ariel on this with publicly available information. They even guessed Pereira/Jiri 2 would have to main event as they're the only ones crazy enough to have a title fight on such short notice, available, and not Weili who isn't big enough to headline IFW.

What exactly is there to praise Ariel on? Especially now that he's apparently coming out and saying he knew all along Conor was injured and they told him not to report that so he didn't. That just means he had the scoop and threw away his journalistic integrity to waffle on it for 2 weeks pretending he didn't know it was an injury.
There's a weird little army on here who will praise him for anything and everything (and nothing), simply because he and Dana don't like each other

So according to you he should disregard his source's request and do what they don't want him to? Screw over Conor's chances in the fight by telling Chandler where to target? How would he get information from sources in the future if he is pissing them off? You obviously don't understand how this whole reporting thing works. If a source is telling you confidential information you respect their wishes.

Stop digging your home deeper. This is embarrassing. Eat your crow.
Because Ariel has a great track record for respecting confidential information

People will completely 180 their arguments and rewrite history to defend the weasel

So strange

You didn’t know shit. He literally did his job as a journalist since no one else was providing us any updates. He did us a service yet all the haters do is bitch and whine about it since they are so triggered by Ariel
"Did us a service"

You need someone to point out the obvious?

He said nothing no one couldn't work out for themselves at the same time the events occurred

Press conference cancelled and promo (e.g. free fights) = fight in jeopardy most likely because of Connor injury
UFC promote fight again during next televised event = fight is back on, Conor injury/ situation isn't as bad as first seemed
Ultimately fight cancelled due to conor injury

At no time did Ariel reveal (or even appear to know) anything that anyone with more than a single digit IQ didn't know themselves from the same info.

And yet some of you weird fan girls are sucking his plums like he's journalist of the century all because he hates Dana

Very weird

Of course the situations are different...but avoid getting hung up on the details and timeilnes and think about the underlying standard.

The gist of the matter is whether someone should report details before they are 'allowed' to do so, whether their sources are feeding them info off the record (i.e. their expectation of privacy/anonymity), whether the fuck over their sources or fighters by giving specifics ahead of time, etc.

If Ariel was told not to break the Brock news, then he was in the wrong...if Ariel knew about the Conor injury and/or replacement fight, but was either told not to report it, or was protecting his sources by not reporting it, that amounts to the same standard.

You either want someone scooping and breaking news, or you want someone simply covering news that has been announced from the source...you cant have it both ways and shit on someone in both cases.

Imagine still crying about that dumb Brock shit.
