Help with starting a Thread

I signed up for a sherdog account several months ago but I have not tried to post anything since then. When I tried to start a thread today, I was told I did not have sufficient permission to do so. Can someone explain to me what is going on and how to overcome this issue?

think you need a certain amount of posts or time on the forum before you can make a thread.

This is the only thing in the FAQ's related to starting a thread. Are there qualifications or an amount of posts to attain prior to having that ability? What needs to get accomplished here?

For the OT, you need a minimum of 300 posts, and I believe 6 months from start up date upon which to contribute.
