Help me understand Julianna Pena

Julianna Pena is hot. What is she doing fighting for the UFC championship right now?

Amanda Nunes is currently a -800 favorite, and no disprespect to the Venezuelan Vixen, but that is an insult to the The Lioness. Julianna Pena has only won two fights in five years, and let's be honest, she didn't exactly wow in her victories over Nicco Monatano and Sara McMann.

I'm confused 1) how she has a title shot and 2) with good looks like hers, what's she doing fighting when she could parlay her looks towards success elsewhere. For example, her sister was a weathergirl, then got a job at Microsoft.

1) She has a title shot because there's no one else. Look at who's ranked at women's BW.
2) She's not that hot when compared to other women who aren't fighters.

1. Yup - Plus Amanda (and Val for example) are just so much better than every other female fighter there isn't any competition for them

If she was my friends mom back in the day I'd rag on him all the time how hot she is to piss him off . Just some women ? Yeah she's cute,, nice body too but nothing super special .
And OP like others have said at women's BW and FW anything goes . Literally starved for talent and women's FLW isnt much better . Want consistently good competitive WMMA go to SW and Atom Weight and that's about it .
 
I always like when a dominant champ fights because there is always the chance for an upset.

Ronda was supposed to destroy Holly Holm.

Anderson was supposed to matrix Weidman. Hell, Anderson was the favorite in the rematch.

Dominant champs almost always lose to one who had "no chance" of beating them.
 
Since 2011 she has fought 11 times. She barely fights as it is.

Maybe she looks better outta the cage or in person, but idk.
I agree with what you said in terms of her looks though.
