Hector Lombard returning to MW.

A lot of bad fights for him at middleweight
 
Hector, drop some of the unnecessary muscle (that helps you gas out) and drop down, don't move up.

Wow, didn't know this. Hector left middleweight for a reason, he was too small to compete for a title in the UFC. I realize the weight cut at WW is drastic for him, but unless his cardio improves, I don't see this going well for him.
 
They should make Romero vs Lombard ASAP
 
Hector was terrifying as MW in Bellator and that australian promotion but Boetsch took away alot of that aura. Any decent MW, big enough, or with good hands+takedown defense, will win against Hector.
 
They probably want to keep him around so they'll throw some winnable matches his way for starters.
 
Hector fought a few 5 rounders in Bellator as a MW and didnt have much of an issue.


The guy is near 40 years old so those weight cuts aren't as easy as they used to be.


It's worth a shot.
 
There is some winnable fights for him.....he's a big name as well.....loser of Henderson Machida would be fine with me

You are one of them 'keep hope alive" types aren't you? Yoel tested positive for a prohibited substance. It's going to lead to a ban. So although you are saying as soon as possible... possible isn't going to be for a while. Oh and Yoel would crush him.
 
He is shorter and has less reach than some bantamweights.

Not a good move imo.
 
MW is a good weight for Lombard. That's where he's had the most (relative) success.

Let's be clear, he's NOT going to win the WW title, nor would he likely to even get a shot now that he lost to Magny.

And of course, he's not going to win the MW title either, nor get a title shot.

What, 90% of UFC fighters never get a title shot right? So why not fight at a healthier less drained weight and make some money instead of fighting at a dehytraded dangerous to his health weight and make about the same money?

He's huge anyhow.

People acting like lombard hasnt spent 30 something fights at MW and only 4 at WW.
He has never been jabbed to death, closing distance was never a problem with lombard, he faced magny who has a longer reach then any MW, and walked through his shit like it was nothing.
It if helps his gas tank, its a good move
