Heavy Bag Rapping.

Discussion in 'Standup Technique' started by Doug Makenzie, Jul 15, 2005.

  1. I always rap my bag with duct tape, about two or three rolls, but alot of people dont do this, why? I greatly reduces tears and makes the bag hard as fuck so when you hit, your wrists get tough. Anybody else do this?

    I don't wrap my bag...and I don't know how to rap.
    I like Dwight Yoakam.

  3. Why not, got weak wrists?

Be careful hitting harder objects, you can easily damage your bones. A heavy leather bag is heavy enough and does its job in conditioning. There is really no need to wrap a bag. If it wears down, replace it.

I heard, you don't hit a bag hard, word. Cause it fucks wit da wrists and you can't make fists. But after all who'd pick on a nerd? How to improve your power, if you're weak like a flower?

    Bas Rutten says differently.
And just about every other boxer/kickboxer.
How else do you develop power?

  8. What do you mean Chad, Bas says to wrap or hit hard?
