I know I read an article, or saw a book about the subject.
Does anybody know anything about this? I searched everywhere I could think of (these forums, bodybuilding.com's , yahoo, google) and haven't found anything.

Basically, you start with it lying on the ground, and pick it up in various positions (i.e. over your shoulder, cradle in arms, etc.) It's supposed to help with explosive power for lifting/slamming an opponent.

A lot of people here have trained with sandbags. What is your question?

Bascially what different exercises, is this a good thing to do, people's overall thoughts on this?

Also, I was wanting to see if anybody had any literature on the subject.
Thanks.

Check out the DVD "Floor Bag Workout" by Mark Hatmaker also...there's a lot you can do with a heavybag, very similar movements that you can do with a grappling dummy...

I think that may be what I was talking about!!
I don't know why I'd think a book or article.

THANKS THOUGH!

i use a 80 lbs hevy bag as a throw dummy. it works wonders for core strength.

Bonus points for when you cut a hole in the bag and fuck the dogshit out of it...for reps.

haha if I wasnt so busy with school and training right now, I'd shoot comments with you like this all the time in S&P... I prefer the bottom of the heavy bag, the leather is smoother there, lube is easier to apply.
