I've said it before and I will say it again. The problem is not these rioters, it's all the leftists with institutional power who are supporting them. If they weren't being protected, this pack of criminals and failed baristas would end up in jail or at the end of a legendary ass whupping by the Proud Boys/Patriot Prayer/Oathkeepers and they would cut this bullshit out.

Its both. The amount of hatred in these peoples hearts and eyes. I couldn't imagine going out, picking up a break, and throwing it another human knowing the kind of life altering effects that could have. Or shining a laser pointer at someone. Or throwing fireworks at them. Or setting a building on fire. But we are seeing tens of thousands of otherwise normal people suddenly doing this. We are seeing the beginnings of a new Nazi-style movement.

I 100% agree with that. When an issue with police comes up, it should be addressed, but it has become loot and riot first regardless if the police actions were justified. And I think this has become the new norm. Before I had retired, one of the pushes was for officers involved in a traumatic incident had aftercare. Now, every incident will have to include riot procedures along with everything else as standard procedure. This is not progress.

it's true, there is always an unruly, energetic element in the young people. but with covid lockdowns and a mainstream media machine hyping them up, they can be focused into a weapon.

Even worse, now when cops get shot, BLM goes to the hospital to riot. Procedures to cops being shot are having to be updated to include defending the hospital from rioters while the cops are being treated. How's that for progress?
