PVZ is the master of this and getting her back taken after Instantly. Again i see another wmma fighter attempt it in this fight Amanda Lee did it, and the other girl couldn't take her back.. but has a male MMA fighter done these recently in the UFC? It seems to occur in every other wmma fight i just wonder if males use this technique or if it died out years ago in male MMA. btw i am not against wmma just wondering about that throw.

i know it's a big wrestling and I think even judo throw.

It's an okay throw, as long as you readjust quickly and let go when it hits the ground. Get back to establishing your base.

You have to be an adept grappler to take advantage

Yea but in MMA it just seems so easy to take your back when you do the throw. Rose did it effortlessly against PVZ, i get in judo its legit and in wrestling but i am talking MMA only.

Does anyone have recent examples in Male mma? I would really love to see it work honestly!!!

Most of the gifs out there are examples of why it should not be done - at least in male mma

yeah I heard the announcers say it's very dangerous in ufc mm a fighting, because of that reason.

To keep control after the throw, you need to maintain arm and head control. Most girls basically do a headlock throw.

Ronda really popularized it in the women's divisions.

You see a lot more armbars in WMMA compared to men's divisions too. Its indicative of the average skill level there.

Gender doesn't enter into it. No one should be attempting a head and arm throw beyond an 8th or 9th grade Jr High Wrestling tournament.
