HBO to Rebroadcast THE WIRE Remastered in HD

Op is definitely on some matt Barnes level of meh

Unfit for a show like the wire

S3 is as good as tv gets.

Four posts in a row for palp. Must be really rustled by his fantasy team.

So I'm rewatching the first episode on HBO Signature right now and its pretty damn good quality. This will now be my fifth time rewatching the series. I'll probably just watch the rest of the series on HBO Go since they have the 16:9 HD version up and available for immediate viewing all 60 episodes :D

Also i do hope when they release the Blu-ray version that they have both the HD version and the original version for viewing.

Papatine with the epic save! :)

I've tried and failed to commit to The Wire three times. Keep getting four episodes in before losing touch with the characters.

Hope HD changes the aspect ratio. Really want to watch this show.

Wonder if a torrent will be up with the new HD version for the poor people out there that don't have HBO.

Shit looks clean. Its on S1 E4 right now for me.

Bubbles is hands down the best actor on the show.

Just finished Season 3...

Very good so far except my wife doesn't get it. Oh well.

I do a lot of work for the City of Houston. The political back stabbing, red tape, apathy, etc is so spot on at times. I see the same crap from City Workers all the time and The Wire hits too close at home sometimes.

Its like the producers had some political insiders letting them know how dysfunctional the system can be at times.

Ed Burns was a cop in Baltimore, and David Simons was a writer for the Baltimore Sun. I think they (the writers) had a good bit of inside information

Just watched a bit of it. Looks amazing on HD, like it could have been shot and released within the past year.

Definitely gonna blaze through them all over again.
