not involving your family or friends. People you personally don't know i.e at a park, neighbors, party etc. etc. What did you do?

Yes I witnessed a guy and his girl fighting each other late at night while out walking my dog. He was dodging and weaving like a boxer touching her wit teh jab and she tried to put a bottle over his head. Both were clearly a couple of nutters so I wasn't sure whether to intervene or not, then she stormed off and he followed her shouting taunts and threats so I tailed them, then she went into the hospital and he followed her in so I knew he or maybe both of them would end up getting arrested so I left.

There was another couple of incidents I got involved in but I'm tired so I'll recount them later if I remember.

Encourage them. Chant "fight, fight a husband and a wife. If the husband don't win, we all join in. "

Weekly at work. Get to take people to jail for it. If I saw it off duty , I'd be a good witness unless someone was about to get killed. They are such volatile situations.

No joke, when I was a kid I used to hear my neighbour choking his wife. Happened almost weekly.

Yeah, a few times. It's one of those very few situations that will cause me to react without even thinking, and I just go in /: It can be messy situation sometimes afterward tho. Idk. I hate it. Hate all of it.

Why the thread opie?

During one of my past drunken coke fueled stupers, was at a neighborhood block party bbq and this guy was harrassing everyone. He started basically groping a woman and she was yelling to stop. Well as he reached for a hand full of cooch, I reached for my handle of Jim Beam and proceeded to teach him some manners

Yea seen some.

A funny one happened late one night driving back from a party. We passed this guy following this girl in a skimpy nightgown. He was grabbing at her as she was walking away and she would slap the hell out of him. We just kind of followed them because I know better then to just jump into domestic shit.

They ended up at this closed gas station and we pulled in a little ways away to see what was happening.

The guy was just trying to get her to go back home but she was pissed about something and would slap the shit out how him every time he tried.

Well this other car sees them and come racing in to a stop near them and this guy jumps out with a stick to white knight this girl without evaluating the situation. When he walks up to the girl to protect her she grabs the stick he is holding and starts beating the shit out of him. Then the guy he was going to protect her from is trying to keep her from beating the hell out of the white knight.

We laughed about it and drove way wanting nothing to do with that mess.

Funny this topic came up. My wife and I have to go to court on Wednesday as witnesses to a DV last year. A guy beat the shit out of his wife and threw her out of a car outside our place. She was screaming for help, so we rushed out the door. The dude ran away, but he lived just a few houses down the street, so the cops were on him in no time.

Saw one, I think.

I was driving yesterday and I had just turned the corner of the first block from my house and out of the corner of my eye on the left side of the street I saw people on the front yard of house on a street that is usually quiet. I turned and saw what looked like a girl with long dark hair on the ground with her arms covering her face. Standing in front of her is some bald dude with a wifebeater on (i know) looking down on her. By the doorway is a lady who yelled out "oh shit" as I drove past them. Pretty sure they saw me. Nobody yelled out "help".It's been on my mind since yesterday. I don't always see incidents like that. I thought about calling the cops but I didn't and now I can't get over it. I drove by the same house a few minutes later and saw nothing suspicious.

Why did he beat her up?

This probably doesn't count but I was in my car in a parking lot waiting for something....

Seen this fit couple walk by who thought nobody was looking and he spanked her ass so hard he lifted her off the ground and I could hear the slap like a shock wave and she was like "hee hee hee hee hee"

It was a playful slap but with enough force to lift her into space and then they just kept walking like whatever

And I mean like he hauled off and reached back for more momentum for this spontaneous slap and he stepped forward for extra force

I mean he damn near slapped her ass off her body and she was levitating for a bit before she came back down. I'm sure she wasn't able to sit properly for a week

But she just smiled and laughed a stupid giddy laugh and kept on walking as if it was nothing.

As if whatever he just destroys her ass every day, that's part of her life and she's cool with it

I thought it was fucked

Why did he beat her up?
IDK, they hardly spoke English. When the cops came, I just told them what I saw. My wife understands a little, so she was the one that pieced together what happened.

Seen my share.

I always try to put and end to it, and it's rarely a rewarding experience.

I'm assuming that you're a cop. Is it true that domestic violence calls are more dangerous than gang violence calls?
My wife's cousin is a cop and he used to work the gang unit. He said that the gang calls were less dangerous because gangsters are predictable, but you never know what you are walking into with domestic violence.

Sort of.. more like overheard.
Around 2-4am about 5 years ago I was awoken by ramblings over at my neighbor's place.

I would've called popo if it went on for another 5min, but it quieted down by then, so I went back to sleep.

I basically head:

glassware or dishware getting smashed

"I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!!" (guy)
"GTFO AWAY FROM ME!!) (chick)

loud thump about min later, as in the sound of someone landing on something (not punching an object, but someone slamming into)

I saw them 2 days later, and no bruises on either party, so I guess nothing serious happened.

Just earlier today I saw some crazy bitch stab some beta in the back with a potatoe peeler.

sure all the time. its not my business and i wouldnt intervene unless the chick was getting seriously brutalized
