Yes these are great research tools. Careful using bard, it is more prone too something called "hallucinations" where it generates false info because it is trying to satisfy the request of the user. It is responding to your prompt and matching it with the entire Google data base. Basically your prompt is 1 and its search request is a 1, and when you really want it to force an answer it will conclude 1 + 1 = 6.

Bing chat and chat gpt have much tighter mechanisms. You can switch bing chat over to chatgpt4/creative mode to give better answers which have tighter hallucination lines than bard. It's just that bing produces duller answers.

Please use these thing properly for self evaluation and not just to make it do easy shit for you. Particularly if you are a creator because that's lame as fuck.

Yes, I have been in the testing program and have been talking to Bard since it first became available to members of the public.

It's come on leaps and bounds and the latest upgrades have made it truly useful.

I've had it write articles for me and diagnose a shoulder injury for example. I found it less useful as a psychiatrist without some serious prompt work.

I watched a video of someone nerdier than me compare the two. Bard is still weaker in the understanding people category, so I'm sticking with GPT for now as it works well for me.

really strange and weird that such globally dominant data and info driven company like google, got owned by open ai crew
somehow it was more natural and expected something like gpt would come from google, and then even now after some time , their catching up with open ai is still in struggle
they did it , but gpt somehow understand the context better and provide more accurate responses
I wonder which part in the gpt architecture and code is making this difference and advantage over other ai chats
