Social Have you noticed this in your place of work?

Makes sense to me. Avoids unnecessary future conversations regarding the issue. You're armed with the info.

I get 30-40 emails a day and I have never seen it. It would make for a great office laugh if an email did come through with that nonsense on it.

- he/him/his (for someone who might identify as male), - she/her/hers (for someone who might identify as female), - they/them/their (for someone who might not identify strictly as male or female, these pronouns are considered 'gender neutral'; also used when referring to multiple people).

I have not noticed it in our Federal system . . . yet.

Keep the Equality Act from passing.

The Equality Act is a bill in the United States Congress, that, if passed, would amend the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to prohibit discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity in employment, housing, public accommodations, public education, federal funding, credit, and the jury system.[1] It is expected to be introduced in the 116th United States Congress.[2]

The Equality Act expands the categories of "public accommodations" to include places or establishments that provide goods, services or programs. It prohibits "establishment" from being construed to be limited to a physical facility or place.[3]

It also updates the definitions of three terms:

* "sex" to include biological sex at birth, sexual orientation or gender identity.

* "sexual orientation" as heterosexuality, homosexuality or bisexuality.

* "gender identity" as gender-related identity, appearance, mannerisms, or characteristics, regardless of the individual's designated sex at birth.

So I assume many of us work in an office setting. (no disrespect to the blue collar folk, and men who work with their hands. you guys are awesome, and I don't know shit about mechanics)

I've noticed, more and more in email chains, or on business cards people have their names, position, phone numbers, work address and ....Preferred pronouns.

EG:

Vincent Vega
Office Supervisor
Puget Sound Ballistics
P: 253 555-5555
Work Cell: 253: 444-4444
Preferred Pronouns: He/Him/His

Have you come across this as well? what are your thoughts?
I live like 2 hours north of you and surprisingly I haven't seen it.

To be fair where I live likes to view itself as supremely liberal/progressive but still has a lot of old school small town-ness to it.

.questions like "What would you do if you saw a co-worker stealing" with several choices to choose from.
For a department store I can actually understand a question like that. It impacts their bottom line.

No and I would not work with any body who did. You have no right to compell my speech. That and I work in politics and well someone like that is not someone that is going to be someone you want to be associated with.

Accept it doesnt exist outside of indoctrinated campus idiots and about 1% of society.

So it's silly and distracting.

Never seen it. Most emails in my work are short and too the point, they typically end with "get this done or fuck off".

Nope... never seen it. Receive hundreds of emails a day

Something else inconsequential for the right to get all upset about? Perennial victims lol

No, but I'm sure it'll be a top issue among conservatives come election time.

Fuck affordable healthcare, college debt, climate change, increasing inequality, there's some dude that wants to choose his pronoun!

libruhls want to take your emailzzzz

He's not really getting upset though.. just asking about it... so... yeah.....

No exaggeration, I get at least 50 emails a day (that's a low estimate). I have never seen that in an email. If a few people decided to do that at some point, I have no reason to be bothered by it.

Whoa, sweet brag bro.

I only get about 15 emails a day, but I too have never seen this.

He's not really getting upset though.. just asking about it... so... yeah.....

Responses like "Modern day liberalism really is a cancer on the mind" were pretty clearly the purpose of this thread imo.

I never said ts was getting upset.

If my post spoke to you it was probably meant for you
Really dude? Logical is a dude... that is USUALLY on the right of things...

Come on man, just calling it how I see it and that's pretty passively about LI I would say.

Given how TS has been posting at least recently I'd wager he isn't upset but more curious.

Zebby needs to try harder IMO.

I'd hand that card back to someone and tell em it's broken.
