I feel that one in my bones. I felt the exact same feeling when my Dad died. I think it was magnified by the ever present communication we currently have. We can talk to anyone on earth, in a multitude of ways... but the lack of communication with the dead is just so obviously complete and permanent, but you don't truly feel it until someone close to you dies.
