Jones weighs 227 on fight night, I've heard him say it himself. You think Cormier is putting on, what, 45lbs(?!?) in the hours after cutting ffs!

Cormier can make LHW, I'm talking about fighting the likes of Gane or Ngannou who'd have to cut a leg off to make LHW. Even bang average fighters (by title challenging standards) like Gus & Reyes gave Jones problems just because of their height & range. It's actually laughable to think Jones will be able to ragdoll this guy. Stepping up to HW is not like going from FW TO LW - which is hard enough. This is a whole different ballgame.

Anyway, I don’t think it’s as far-fetched as some others seem to. Gane is not particularly well-rounded. I think he’s a better striker than Jones, and has movement and reach to give Jones trouble. If Jones is still in relatively decent form, he can def beat Gane. I’m just not so sure he’s in decent form. Either way, with his career long cheating and PED issues, he stays at #3 on my GOAT list, always and forever.
 
Certainly an interesting story and damn impressive if accomplished.

I'm rather hyped to see it unfold. Huge fan of Bones but it wont bother me if Gane takes the "Belt".

No way 227 lol he also posted for Glover 217 lbs 4 weeks before the fight he gained weight later in his career but not 227 he was 218 for Reyes and Gus isn't average fighter wtf?
 
If he does it fair and square, then good for him, defend a couple times and he will be undisputed goat. But I don't see it going that way

Any two other two division champ had the tougher road to get there. I mean EVERY. I said before this fight that the HW division is a complete joke and Jones proved it. There is literally no talent. Talented big guys choose different sports where they get more money and don't get brain damage or they actually train so hard that they make the LHW limit. HW is sloppy sluggers all day long.
