I disagree. I'm not sure where people are getting this. Sure, some may have stopped it, but not every ref has a hair trigger. Stopping it in the first would have been looked at as a mistake.

I know that's easier to say now with the benefit of hindsight, but it's what I believe. It's not like he was absorbing some massive beating.

I still think the current top five gets him. Cardio isn't an issue as the top five have multiple five round fights proving that. Except Thompson, but he doesn't usually need five and Maia but we saw what he did to Neil.

I thought the ref did a great job. He gave both fighters a chance to get out of trouble. He then warned Lombard after the second round that if he gets into trouble again he will immediately stop the fight.

predicted lombard had 4 minutes of hell in him as well. i predicted magny would win but wasnt over confident

i think it could have been stopped but shouldnt obviously. imo the biggest difference between the first and the second round is gas. if a fighter is gassed and being pounded on, you give him less of a chance. if they look fresh then they are fighting to clear their head. gassed and theyre just going to keep taking a beating

Some people, keepin it literal, reply with a single word 'bump' to get their intention across.
