Cain goes down, Werdum follows him one day later with an injury.
Tim Means gets popped out of a main event with Cowboy.
Now today RDA breaks his foot after his camp is seemingly over.

Hate to say it but it looks like 2016 is gonna be one of those years where the injury/PED bug just fucks us all in the ass and we're not even through two months in 2016 yet.

Its not just "another one of those years"

this is MMA in this day and age. Get used to it. Guys would rather pull from a fight than risk looking bad due to injury.

I don't understand where you are going with this post? What is "happening" this year? Seems to me a guy got injured and pulled out of a fight, that is what happened.

Comparing Tim Means to RDA and Cain?

Come on man.

Did you watch MMA in 2012 when everyone got hurt at an alarming rate?

Comparing Tim Means to RDA and Cain?

Come on man.

Tim Means was in a main event fight and that fight got canceled, two more main events have been canceled with RDA and Cain, no one is comparing their fighting skills we're just looking at the facts and it's not even the end of February yet.

The one who suffers most is the injured fighter. Lost respect for dos Anjos here, for sure. No excuse

I think it's not possible for Cowboy to make 155 without fight stamina implications.
Watch the Machinist. Bale is in bad shape.....

RDA was doing too much jumping in training that's why he broke his foot. lol.

I meant replacing a guy like Tim Means for a fight pass card (even if it was a headliner) is not that big of a deal.

RDA and Cain were in championship UFC numbered event headliner spots.

That's a little different.

Yeah, and my prediction will soon be right too.

far too many title fights ruined in the last 2 years because of injuries.

Yeah it is different but it's still not a good sign.

In 2012 GSP went down, then Overeem got popped for roids, Aldo pulled out of two fights against Koch and Frankie, Dom's injury woes began, Dan Henderson got hurt and UFC 151 got canceled.

And don't even get me started on UFC 149.

Joel, Tibeau, Means, are just a couple guys getting benched for failed tests the year so far, I imagine there will be plenty more.

Come on man, you can't be that naive. he "breaks" is foot with less than 2 weeks left for the fight? What is he doing that he breaks his foot? Aldo pulled out very close to the fight also. Why? Why are brazilians pulling out of fights like this? Werdum pussies out also. Hmmmmmm. Why are guys getting injured so close to the fight? RDA should be stripped, unless his injury can be verified by a ufc dr..

You are a doofus.

Yeah, they are pulling out because they are Brazillian...

Nevermind that Cain pulled out before Werdum and won't even be fighting for the title next.

Do you know how easy it is to break a foot? It's probably a hairline stress fracture as it won't require surgery.

25% of the posters on this site provably have one now, many people who have this injury never even know and just think it is persistent foot pain.

The difference is we don't prizefight for a living.

Tbh I wouldn't be surprised if the UFC stroked this to move this fight to UFC 200.

If they start shutting down everyone who offers to take the fight I'll get a little more suspicious.
