Or even just MMA in general have you guys ever seen that before ?
I was watching an instructional on wrist locks and it got me thinking about if it's ever happened before in actual MMA fight.
It's not considered small joint manipulation, and isn't against the rules either. No, it's against the rules. It's small joint manipulation.
I think that counts as an armbarNot in the UFC - but a 170lb Royce Gracie submitted 590lb Akebono with a wrist lock - if I recall correctly....
Not correct. Small joint manipulation would be fingers and toes. No, it's against the rules. It's small joint manipulation.

I would say it's the gloves and the wrist wraps: it's almost impossible to apply enough force to snap a wrist that is being externally supported to stay in place.

or maybe he just like to get high?confirmed, ArkhamAsylum has small wrists![]()
It is hard with wraps...but you can still do it...we practiced it once with kind of a Kimura style grip. They wrap the hands/wrist too tight to get one off.
It legal tho and barely seen even in nogi sub competition. Its gonna be harder to tap the more resilient folks with it too.

I think the handwraps make wrist locks almost impossible, because they provide support for the wrist like a cast for a broken bone.Or even just MMA in general have you guys ever seen that before ?
