Has there ever been a fighter who completely reinvented themselves?

Johnny Hendrix became a completely different fighter once he realized how hard he could punch

We see a lot of wrestlers who become brawlers when their knees start to go, but that's not what I'm referring to.

We also see fighters who grow and fill up holes in their games, but that's also not quite what I'm asking about.

Has there ever been a fighter who was more-or-less complete and then completely changed their gameplan and skill set?

I can think of two that might qualify.

GSP: he started as a karateka, became a ferocious wrestler, and then became a highly skilled sniper with his jabs, sometimes winning entire fights with them. He never stopped evolving and several times looked like a completely different fighter than anything we saw beforehand.

Vitor: he spent most of his career as a MMA-boxer with BJJ in his back pocket, but then started training with Machida and became a kicking machine.

Who you got?
Ben Askren when he came to the UFC, he was never known to get beat up like that........

Mcgregor. Became a heel. Became a good guy. Got ktfo and is heel again.

AA, to an extent. went from a flashy athletic fniisher (subs and KOs both) to a careful points fighter. people forget he used to actually have a ground game, and use it.
