With the way things ended for him in the UFC, im curious if he came out to watch. His former sparring partner is on the card too

Awesome glad he made it.
Stipe needs to spend more time in Croatia. There is a HUGE MMA scene there. I saw posters for fight cards with over 50 fights lined up. And Werdum has a pretty legit school in Zagreb.
For how small a country it is we've had 7-8 UFC fighters (if you include Serbs like Denis Stojnic)
And two high level fighters: Cro Cop and Stipe. I think Goran Reljic had a lot of potential too but the back surgery took a lot out of him and he was not the same after.

Croats are fighters and athletes.... almost every sport has a top level Croat from basketball to tennis to MMA and we're a very small country.

He looks great and young. Good for him, he got a lot of coverage but its great to see him recognized in his home country.
For someone who took that much damage he looks virile.

No...are you joking ? He should have retired after Pride GP. It would have been awful, I respect and love the guy but he is waaaaay past him prime...it'd just be 3 rounds of circling left and slowly setting up the LHK that no longer works cuz he's gotten too slow and pulling the same guard. Or worse, hugging mid fight like with Barry. It would have been an embarrassment, Croatia needs an exciting young Lion like Stipe headlining at their arena not some aged lion who really needs to retire.
