Has Conor's popularity plummeted as the numbers suggest?

'glorified journeymen' don't knockout Jose Aldo in seconds lol. You can say it's luck but how come no actual journeymen seem to have that luck?

As well as easy wins over Poirier, Holloway... Alvarez.

He's an awful human, but acting like he didn't have special movement and timing or was just a journeyman is ridiculous.

Also he didn't lose to Diaz twice. He won the 2nd fight comfortably lol. It seems close because he didn't knock Diaz out, but who tf does. Nate won ONE round definitively, two at a push. People act like he won a round after getting dropped multiple times and beat the shit out of all round, then having a little 10 second flurry at the end lmao.

But I dont think you understand how Sherdog works my friend. Bunch of mouth breathing, min wage, Redditors telling each other that millionaires and top professional fighters suck at what they do from the comfort of their parents basement.
ah a gentleman and scholar, i see.

100% agreed.

There's obviously still at least some Conor fans out there, but most are too ashamed to admit it at this point. That's why this thread tastes so salty.

He didn't win the second fight comforably against Diaz at all. He got his ass handed to him twice by Poirier when Dustin wasn't weight depleted, he had a decision win over highschool Max who was coming off a loss to Dennies Bermudez, and Aldo and Alvarez are midgets who he had half a foot reach on. Let's also not pretend the UFC didn't do whatever they could to rig the odds in his favour like that year long campaign to get in Aldo's head.

His legacy is not even top 100 when you figure in all his losses as well. The truth is he was always a very beatable fighter with terrible cardio who merely got figured out.

Conor is sober and focused on his craft.

He's likely just blocking toxic followers that stifle his growth.

4D chess.

He did win the 2nd fight comfortably. Not comfortable as in it was easy, or he didn't also take damage or there wasn't back n forth...

But comfortable as in - he definitely won the most rounds. 3 for sure, and arguably 4. Winning 3-4 rounds of a 5 round fight is definitely 'comfortably winning'.

It just doesn't seem so because he was smoking everybody so anything less than a knockout seemed like a failure or super close fight. Nate was getting his ass beat 80% of the fight.

Also re: the size of Aldo; Conor is 5'9 (and that's debatable, looks more like 5'7-5'8 himself), Aldo is 5'7, McGregor has a 74 inch reach... Aldo a 70 inch reach; both long reaches for their size, and Conor's is freakishly long, but that's not anywhere near as big as you're suggesting. Plenty of journeymen have reach advantages and don't just knockout an all time great at their peak... in seconds.

the whole announcing her was running for president of Ireland and showing up at the white house thing only to completely cave and get shamed was embarrasing. It also just wound up embarrasing the Trump regime highlighting that they are just a bunch of tough guy loud mouths.

Conor's as useless as tits on a bull.

If you're a fan of his... it says more about you than him.

So then Conor only had a 4 inch reach advantage not 6 inches over Aldo?<Neil01>

After the UFC rigged the tables with a year long campaign to get Aldo coming out swinging for the fences Conor took advantage of the midget beating system but then had to move up to his natural weight class and get his ass kicked by guys the same size buddeh

Dude has been as useless celeb as there can be for past 4 years or so. Id be insane if people didnt lose interest.

well, compared to 2017 he lost a lot of popularity but it's natural.
we forget that att he was everywhere, the most marketed mma fighter of all time outside of the mma media.

he's an asshole, so people are only going to support him when he's winning. no reason to do it otherwise.

Something’s change but I think he’s probably still the most popular mainstream mma name … him and Ronda .
Remember when Lisa caught Jessie kissing Zack in class when they were rehearsing a scene for a play… I don’t think Zack would pick her over Kelly though.
They wish they had a Conor or Ronda for the white house card someone who could sell it ,

that's the drawback. they've got some fans with some haters, buit once they lose everyone dogpiles.
