Why does it matter at this point?

It always matters. I mean, it’s true that we basically know that Trump never divested from shit because his genius voters and supporters never cared or put any pressure on him to do so.

But Americans should care if, for example, a foreign government is funneling money to the POTUS. Or if POTUS and his family or lackeys can enrich themselves by manipulating tariff rates, or deciding to buy/sell stock or whatever because they know the price of oil will do X, Y, and Z because of a policy decision.

But yeah, this shouldn’t be a Right vs Left issue: if the POTUS is using his position to funnel money to himself and enrich himself or becomes indebted to foreign powers, that’s a big fucking deal. Or at least it’s supposed to be. The Founding Fathers sure thought it was.
