I'm really cracking up at all the celebrities and news organizations referring to Nate as the champion. Can anyone remember another sports moment where so many enthusiastic people were also so clueless about the sport? The UFC sits in a weird place on the fringe of the mainstream.

Several celebrities, including the Miley Cyrus thread on this forum. I think Bieber was another. I've seen several interviews refer to him as the champ. Here's the first one that came up on Google:



And there must be some more because a lot of casuals I know think Diaz is the champ.

I cant find the video, but the ESPN commentators post fight were two of the most clueless people ever. The dude kept refering to "Nate Diaz's belt" and making the discount double check motion. I was waiting for him let out a Ric Flair "WOOOOOOO" but it never happened.

He is just real, and genuine.
Say what you want about him/them, but I find it very hard to dislike Diaz brothers!
