Has anyone here sat ringside?

I met too many to count, but off the top of my head I actually interviewed:
Fedor
Randy Couture
Frank Shamrock
Bill Goldberg
Don Frye
Pat Miletich
Mauro Ranallo
Frank Trigg
How was the Fedor interview? Did you have to work around his weird crew?

No,it was for the M-1 press conference in 2007 at the Mark Ecko building. He was there to do interviews with the media,so I didnt have any trouble with getting it,more that it was limited. I only had 5 minutes, and because he had an interpreter,it had to be a short one. I did make him laugh though with one of my questions so...

<{smellit?}><20>[<dunn]

Let me guess-How's taste my pee pee?

Randy though I found him sitting early on in the arena when it was still empty, with his wife (who was a fighter at that time too)

I asked him for an interview, and he could have told me to fuck off,but he didnt have a problem with it. His wife even chimed in ahaah

I was the biggest ufc promoter in Canada for over 10 years ….. biggest boxing pro motor in Canada still to date .

unfortunately ufc thought they were over paying me at contract renewal and went with a new company for a 3 year contract …. And their numbers and sales in Canada have never been worse haha karma !

O well no hard feelings towards them - they treated me very good for a long time ! …. I have some sweet personalized gifts from
Them aswell - and even a personalized note from Dana himself with a Christmas gift .

As far as the cageside experience ….. yes it was really kool to feel the energy …. But terrible view …. And I can remember going to the washroom to piss and missing like 30 minutes caz the line was ridiculous lol .

I once shared a box with Dana , shogun , Florian , gsp …..the catering was amazing hahah …. I have some kool pics from it .

I remember I have the coolest pic top from the event shogun knocked out machida ….. I had VIP all access pass and I was told not to swarm the fighters until
After their interviews …… I ran to shogun so fast after that knockout and shook his hand with a beer in my hand before his interview - too funny !! Lol

Good memories - goodtimes!

Would you mind posting a couple pics? They'd be really cool to see, and I'm not convinced you're being honest. I'm sire you don't care if Sherdoggers believe you or not, and I'm almost inclined to believe you because of how big your claims are.

i heard talks that the major sporting promotions will join up with Apple and their new $3500 VR headset to give you ringside or courtside seats.

who knows what dana will charge though. probably another 30 on top of the ppv. 60 if you want to sit next to the ring girls

I asked him about him having a drinking contest with Josh Barnett and who would win.
I normally don't get starstruck with people, but I would be totally starstruck in front of Fedor. That's amazing you met all these legends in person.

Wasn't the mayor holding MMA up.

It was a NY state congressman who was in the pocket of the foodworkers' union who kept holding it up since they had a beef with the Fertittas and Station Casinos.

It wasn't until that congressman was arrested for corruption that the vote on legalizing MMA in NY happened:

The Culinary Workers Union 226 of Las Vegas has done anything it can to harass UFC co-owners Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta because their gaming company, Stations Casinos, is non-union. The union has actively worked against the UFC, which is 90 percent owned by the Fertitta brothers, as retaliation.

He was a senator. It was John McCain that I was thinking of.

Yoooooo

That's wild.

I've met almost all my favorites or had contact with them.

The only 2 I think I would never meet is Fedor and Cro Cop, unless it was incredibly rare circumstances like at an airport.

No bs. The atmosphere alone of Wrestlemanua was amazing.

We actually got free tickets to Mania from Chris Nowinski as my sister did his official fan page way back in the day. We got to go out and have supper with his family as well.

It was a great time.

that’s awesome! Inhad a friend who was the voice of a radio station and I always got free tickets to anything you could think of about a decade ago.

my boys want to go to wrestle mania. Tickets are so expensive from what I’ve seen so I can’t say yes to it.
The last smack down we went to. At the hotel. We were getting some snacks and they got to meet Kevin Owens.

but I agree I haven’t been to any pro wrestling other than wwf when inwas a kid and wwe. But those are the best live shows.

I would rank ufc. As the worst sporting event I’ve been to. In regards to football basketball boxing hockey wrestling.

it wasn’t a bad time. But inwould rather watch fights in a cage from Home. If I want to see what’s going on

Fedor is like my hero. I got to interview my hero. That shit is still hard to believe it really happened.

I sat front row and hung out with Dana & Aaron Rodgers at Munoz vs Weidman, sat 5th row and had a funny encounter with Phil Baroni at UFC On Fox 7
Had a great time both times

Dana is gonna have to use these to watch the Canelo fights due to broadcasting rights from people sitting cageside behind him in the Appleverse

I photographed fights for IFL and Bodog. These were rings so I leaned on the apron to take the photos.

I was so spoiled by doing that for free, that I didnt really want to go to events as a regular schmuck and sit in the nosebleeds. I still go to local smaller events though.
this is so dope! Photographing prime Brad Pickett would've been gnarly. Not to mention being in the presence of the Shamrocks and Bas Rutten

Because I was ringside I got to talk to Bas before he set up in the booth. Exactly as cool as you'd expect. We talked about the unified rules and all that and got a picture with him. El Guapo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also two of the teams had brazilian coaches. It was Renzo Gracie, and I forgot the other coach. They would good naturedly curse each other out in portuguese and it was beautiful to see.

Also one of those IFL events was the first time I saw Dan Mirgliaotta. I was like wow this is a ref??? and then when he was on a break and just doing the vasaline check stuff,we started chatting in between rounds about who we thought won
