Why do so many of these world class grapplers want to box once they get to the UFC? I was so happy to see Kron enter UFC, "Finally we get to see legit BJJ back in UFC!" And he ends up going in there pretending to be a muay thai guy or boxer and getting beat to a pulp and embarrassed in the process.

I want to see mixed martial arts. Not shitty boxing. Its ok to be a BJJ guy god damnit.

Cub Swanson is also a BJJ black belt. He did not want to get taken down by Kron though. Kron tried to take Cub down but Cub did everything in his power to keep it standing.

Kron didn't get embarrassed. Both guys landed a lot and it went to a decision. Cub was a clear winner but it was an entertaining fight.

He got completely owned in that fight thats why he’s disappeared. He’s probably been working on improving those giant holes in his striking thats why hes been gone. Basically same story as Ortega, Jujitsu guys that had there striking completely exposed

Taking Cub Swanson to a decision in your second UFC fight ever is a pretty decent performance. Kron didn’t get “exposed” he consciously decided to brawl with him and I respect him for wanting to put on a good fight.

Kron didn’t choose to bang, he couldn’t take Cub down. He also hoped Cub would gas sooner so he could pull guard with more effectiveness.

Inability to shoot takedowns in an MMA environment is more like it.

I root for Kron regardless, he’s such a good, pure BJJ guy, unique style, classical.

I heard some stories from Krons preparation camps and he used to bring 2-3 HW boxers(really huge guys) for every striking sparring and forced them to go 100% on him

BTW by what i know u should meet him cruisin on his funny bike through Venice (almost everyday) and he also smokes alot with Nate by what i heard its like ritual before training,during training,after training ... and still trains like beasts <45>

I think the reporter asked Makwan if he’d feel confident enough with his ground game against Kron, so he said yes.

It wasn’t a true call out from what I recall.
