Has any fighter single handedly ruined a division like Luke Rockhold?

This circus in the middleweight division all started because Luke Rockhold got KTFO by a Michael Bisping that was coming off a movie set on short notice. He was supposed to win that fight easily but noooooooo. Luke Cockhold had to
be all cocky and showed no hespect.

Bisping was the worst possible fighter to lose the belt to. It pretty much put the division in purgatory with pointless fights.

Now Rockhold has the opportunity to redeem himself and restore order to the divison but is refusing to fight Romero who only came in a few pounds heavier.

Has anyone ruined a division like Luke Rockhold?

The Featherweight champion sat on the belt for nearly a year, taking 2 fights at WW with a middle of the pack LW while FW contenders couldn't get a shot at the belt

He then (after being stripped of the FW belt for not defending) won the LW belt and is currently sitting on that, for 15 months and counting, while the owner's of a 25-0 MMA record and the longest win streak in UFC LW history respectively have to fight for what may well be an interim title

That has got to be one of the biggest jokes in UFC history
