It is incomprehensible to me how this is acceptable for any institution of higher learning. Are we living in clown world? Since when was it alright to tell white people that they deserved to die? Is this where all the talk about white privilege is headed?

I know lots of awesome black and hispanic guys through MMA and BJJ. None of them would ever tolerate people talking this way about white people. You can't say that an entire race of people deserves to be exterminated.

How is it acceptable to see this vile shit being spread at prestigious universities?

So blacks don't have problem with being racist. In other news water is wet.

Academia has been corrupted for a while folks. It's the wretched hive of anti-American, anti-white, anti-straight losers with chips on their shoulders because they wasted their lives on a women's studies degree.

Watch out for your kids when they go off to school someday, is all I can say.

I know it's not the entire argument, but if those are students then Harvard isn't above the worst community colleges in the country.

The debate was hosted at Harvard, but those are white students from the University of Oklahoma debating black students from the University of West Georgia.

In that case, UoWG ad UofOK are two schools my children will never go to.

That seemed awfully cut up to make the arguments look racist. the cuts lasted 13 seconds, 4 seconds, 16 seconds, 2 seconds, 2 seconds, 2 seconds, 3 seconds, then 10 seconds from a moderator, and i stoped listening.

This video is shit. If you have one that isnt cut to hell please post it.

African Americans can't be racist

Racism is privilege plus power. Since Black people don't have power, Black people can't be Racist.

Surprised you didn't know that

Racism means belief in the inherent superiority of a race over others. It has absolutely nothing to do with power or any sort of privilege.

To your point I just point out that you might want to try to tell Jamal, Shitavious and Tyshawn they haven't power while they cripple you for life and rape your girlfriend. If they haven't all the power in that situation, you're using one funny definition of the word.

They are probably just debating for debates sake. I think it could be a valuable exercise to stay objective during emotional topics.

The video still appears to display some low hanging fruit though, i would be surprised if harvard was even remotely associated with this.

I don't think the topic was "White Genocide" and that looked like rebuttal and cross examination. What were the actual arguments?

I tried to look it up, and it looks to me like the topic was, "The United States should significantly reduce its military presence in one or more of the following: the Arab states of the Persian Gulf, the Greater Horn of Africa, Northeast Asia."?

Edit: actually this debate seems to have originated back in 2012, and the entire concept of these debates seems... questionable to me.

In the 2013 tournament, the winning team from Emporia State University was criticized for using personal memoirs and rap music to criticize white privilege during the debate.[1] Opponents to this form of debate argue that rhetorical tools utilized by recent championship teams violated the anti-harassment policies of CEDA and the National Debate Tournament and common sense.[2] CEDA President Paul Mabrey points to the value of limited actual formal rules in CEDA debate and the ways that a variety of forms of debate raise the educational value of the activity and call these objections "nothing other than thinly-veiled racism."[3]

In the 2014 tournament, the CEDA came under fire for crowning a championship debate team whose arguments critics described as incomprehensible and off-topic and whose members refused to abide by time limits and moderation, going so far as to make a fart sound as a rebuttal.[4] Despite winning the tournament, the winning team from Towson University was criticized by these observers for referencing racial slurs.[5] In the wake of this controversy, CEDA President Mabrey stated in an official CEDA video of that the accusations of poor preparation and incomprehensibility “...[R]epresent the worst of our human bigotry. These attacks on Towson, Oklahoma, and others in our debate community are motivated by racism and fear.”[6]

the kid in the cap is not really black, he has much white in him, so he has self-loathing issues.

Some of these highly regarded universities are outright loony bins.

If I'm hiring, I'd rather have one guy from the local community college with a good work ethic, common sense and people skills than have five loony tunes educated fools like that one kid from Harvard.

Sad thing is that kid probably got a scholarship from some organization to go to Harvard.

A bunch of people talking about white genocide??? Was leklok one of them??? Oh nope, never mind, these people have some sort of education so it couldn't be him.

We had the diversity officer of a pretty major college in the UK making tweets with #killallwhitemen and banning whites and straight people from meetings, and she only got sacked because of a major petition.
Basically sexism is fine as long as its against men, and racism is fine as long as its against whites. I had a liberal fuckwit trying to explain why this is acceptable the other day

What a strange way to present the thread. It's obvious OP just watched a YT clip and read some shitty article, and has no idea what this is. I wonder if he would be horrified if he knew that the fat white kid also gave an "argument" in the form of a long winded and loud speed poetry reading. That didn't sound like a fruitful exchange of ideas.
