Happy it's Hunt Vs Lesnar?

Happy to see Brock come back to the sport even for a one off but dang I wish it wasn't against Hunt. This isn't a troll job or anything but I can't fathom Brock making it out of the first round against Hunt and I really want to see some classic Lesnar hulk smash type performance. Hunt picks his shots and doesn't go full Carwin and punch himself silly within the first three minutes. I would argue Hunt hits harder than Carwin did and is much more accurate and calm. It's a bittersweet match up because Hunt is my favorite HW fighter, all around cool guy. Lesnar was just fun to watch. Wish it had been Mir 3 or even Roy Nelson. It's a one time fight for Brock wish it was more secure that we got to see him dominate someone. Just don't see it happening.

Hunto is the best possible match up imo. If he did stick around though, a fight between Cormier and Lesnar at HW would be pretty sweet.

Yes. All the respect in the world for Brock. When it comes to UFC, he only fights monsters.

Sure he COULD face someone like Jared Rosholt, but instead he's returning for a top 10 heavyweight

He survived Carwin who arguably had more power, so it's not an impossible task.

My money is on Hunt, and he should be the favorite. But Hunt's advantages are a good counter balance to the freak that is Lesnar (and the USADA waiver/loophole they found for him to keep his gains)

Would rather Fedor, but Hunt is a good opponent. I'm going to be dissappointed if he can't stop the take down and gets smothered by a muscle blanket for the majority of the fight.

Well I agree but you still can not count Brock out. No man alive wants to be stuck under that gorilla as he is reigning blows down. I remember Cain saying he trained the move he used to get out from under Lesnar over 2,000 times. That just tells you even a badass like Cain did not want to be stuck in that position. So if he somehow can take hunt down we get to see Donkey Kong go Donkey Kong.

It's actually surprising. So props to Brock. He could have taken a can probably. But he's fighting Hunt. I expect him to lose in stunning fashion. But if he managed to win that would be something. That's GOATish behaviour.

Theres really noone else for him to fight.

TBH, i wanted Lesnar to get someone "easier" , but then again i don't like Brock, i do like Hunt however.

It's an exciting fight, i'm glad it was someone legit with name value, looks really nice on the card.

Brock will bull rush Hunt right away for the takedown. If it works, he wins. If it doesn't Hunt will knock him on his ass. Either way, it will be a short night for these guys.

a part of me wanted brock to take it easy first so he can win and fight again. a much bigger part of me wants to see him get KTFO in the first by Hunt, because Hunt is awesome.

I also agree with the fact that it's nice to see him take on a legit HW and not some gimme fight. That being said the just bleed part of me really wants to see him just crush someone for entertainment value.

When they announced he'd return I actually turned to my buddy and said "be nice if it was Hunt but they won't do that". So yes, very happy.

I'll answer in a few years when I have hindsight.


If this is a 1 and done then I'm glad it is Hunt.

If he takes multiple fights it would seem obvious to do Mir and not a killer like Hunt


based on that, I'm expecting this to truly be a one time thing unless brock wins.
