Taking politics aside Israel’s perceived capabilities have taken a massive hit the last two decades. When you think of the six day war people need to remember Egypt were a military superpower. Those days are over. The war in Lebanon should have been a walk over but it wasn’t. They suffered massively considering they themselves have obscene military superiority. From a military standpoint they aren’t a pushover or to be trifled with but the days when they could go to war on three fronts and win are over.

In terms of just intelligence how much have they really tried? Hard to recruit rats when there’s not an area you haven’t bombed. Probably also hard to pay attention to rumours about Hamas when they’ve been dealing with massive opposition from their own people on their own streets the last year.

World is quite busy on Ukraine right now and sympathy for Palestinians i guess will be pretty low right now.

What I find amazing, is that any criticizing of Israel is met with fierce, almost reflexive, opposition- you are the worst of the worst if you dare suggest they may do anything nefarious to further their own interests, and you can’t discuss obvious realities. It is a fact that Jewish folks own and operate major media outlets that get to shape the popular narrative, yet to suggest that this might skew perceptions is heresy.
