I wonder if right wingers will change their tune on US sending money to foreign governments to fight wars…..

The establishment right are lined up with the establishment left on this issue. The dissident right is not.

As always, the modern 'dissident left' are lined up perfectly with their MIC and corporate masters.

Or at least they will be once the propaganda hits

I don’t know I actually missed this story. Seems like Trump might be right on this one though. I wouldn’t be surprised if part of that money funded all of the rockets that were used this morning

The Biden Admin (John Kirby) insisted the money would be for humanitarian use only.

Immediately, Iran told everyone to go fuck themselves and they’ll use it as they please

Iranian president says Tehran will spend the $6 billion released in prisoner exchange ‘wherever we need it’

I mean, it doesn’t take a Genuis to realize Iran can just use the money for public and meanwhile they money saved by using these funds can now be used for other purposes.

“It’s going to be held in a bank in Qatar and each transaction will be monitored by U.S. Treasury — transaction by transaction," the official said. "It’s for humanitarian aid only.”

And per the Article, Qatar is being used as the go between…. But

Yet another Biden Admin disaster

Both sides have pretty legit beef with the other but obviously it's not going to be much of a fair fight and probably isn't going to last very long.

Smells like Iran and Russia are pressing some buttons to try and weaken the west's resolve and divert some attention and resources from Ukraine.

Cold War 2 shit.

And I wonder if lefties will still support the smaller weaker country fighting back against imperial aggression, and if they’d advocate we send Hamas money and weapons to defend themselves…

The boat attacks were bit less succesful:

Uncorfirmed video title ^btw, lots of old footage circulating

Was just going to ask, how do we know which vids (if any) are legit…?

Speaking to Al Jazeera, Hamas deputy chief Saleh al-Arouri, said that “we managed to kill and capture many Israeli soldiers” and “the fighting is still on.”

As to our prisoners I say, your freedom is looming large
. What we have in hand will see you set free. The longer fighting continues, the higher the number of prisoners will become.

Channel 12 is reporting at least 100 are dead in Israel.

Usually takes a few day to actually confirm them, but most of the fake/re-used footage gets deleted pretty quickly.
But yeah there'll be a lot of that stuff circulating for a bit.
All new posts should be taken with a grain of salt, if they're still up after a few hours they're usually legit.

Hamas: A Full-Scale Battle – Prepared for the Worst Hamas has not launched a limited operation, but has launched a "full-scale battle". So says the terrorist group's deputy leader Saleh al-Arouri in an interview with Al Jazeera. "We expect continued fighting and for the front to expand. All scenarios are now possible and Hamas is prepared for an Israeli land invasion, al-Arouri said, adding that the group will continue to fight until the goal of "victory, freedom and independence is achieved." According to al-Aurori, the group has taken a "large number" of Israelis hostage."

Conflict is what both parties seem to want, and so they have it.
Meh, being rather ignorant about the whole thing, to me it seems that Israel are the assholes, and the Palestinians have been pushed farther and farther from their native lands over the past several decades. It seems that Palestinians “want conflict” about as much as an animal that’s been beaten and starved and backed into a corner… I may be wrong though.

The right and left really have struggles with the Israeli alliance.

The right has an element of supporting Israel as part of judeo-christian values alliance and respect for democracy . The far right basically seems to hate Israel and basically view them as controlling media and subverting good life for white people by claiming Jews are using blacks and other minorities against them.

The left of course bring up the Holocaust and genocide all the time, but also try to be anti-racist and so they struggle with the apartheid nature of Israel and Zionism. You get the trope of the far left self hating Jews like old Chomsky and Finkelstein. They will always note how Israel is always portrayed as "retaliating" and never instigating.

But it's kind of interesting that it's kind of like an issue where the far left and far right kind of shake hands in agreement. And the centrists, likely partly due to NPC syndrome and completely one sided media coverage, are on the other side.

Any normal human would struggle with this whole conflict. I mean christ it’s a “nation” born from terrorism. Some would argue the modern day idea of terrorism was born at the Wall Street bombing most would argue it was the king David hotel bombing (the first car bombing ever I believe).

You are also absolutely right in the way people would (or used to) point to Isreal as the “only” example of ‘democracy’ in the region but the actions of that state even in recent years would turn anyone’s stomach. Yet again only a few weeks ago we saw concrete being poured in a towns only water source. Time and time again we see the Geneva conventions “rules” being shit on, especially recently when it comes to the illegal settlements. Many Israelis, like the thousands marching a few weeks ago wouldn’t consider the current state “democratic”.

One thing I would respectfully but strongly disagree with you about is the “far left self hating Jew” part. Out of my Israeli friends three are communists, one is an anarchist and another one is a dirty trotskyite. None are ashamed of being Jews or being from Isreal. In fact I’d argue it’s their patriotism (weird for the anarchist) is why they are sympathetic to the Palestinian cause. Everyone of them served their time when called and and everyone of them saw action. Everyone of them has been appalled seeing certain actions by the state forces.

Centrists are snakes and their only concern is what brings in money and they will be rubbing their hands with glee right now. For the record I’m unrepentant in my support for the Palestinian’s struggle and am equally unrepentant in my condemnation of Israel’s actions and the actions of their supporters in the EU and the US. Having said that I say RIP and condemn every civilian life that has been taken today
