the US were the only vote against the UN adopting palestine as a member, the only one voting against a UN mandated ceasefire, and they were 1 of 14 'nay' votes (against 124 'yeas') voting to investigate and prosecute israel's illegal occupation in accordance with the ICJ. if not universal, it's at least a large consensus.
Large consensus means nothing when it comes to the five members with the largest balls. What has been a big point of mine in this whole discussion? Pragmatic reality of the MENA and participants. That is the reality. It really doesn't matter what anyone thinks if the big five on the security council don't agree in unison. Having US not agree is what matters just like Russia or China on other issues like DPRK.
Many of these countries are also hardly neutral parties but that's more subjective.
right right. they're just blind with how much they hate the jews, and for no good reason. they definitely didn't just watch israel annihilate their entire homeland and kill 100,000 family members and neighbors.
Again how did this latest war start? Did Israelis burst into Gaza and kill the Palestinians for no reason? Or maybe did the ruling government and army of the area commit the worst unprovoked atrocity in Israeli history?
The equivalent would be you saying it was unfair allied forces were killing the German forces...and leveling German cities...
If you studied wwII, allied forces leveled whole cities like Dresden...in a night or two 100k were killed....
this has been shut down a half dozen times by israel.
Yes and no. Palestinians had at least two opportunities in my adult life to sign a peace treaty and each time they refused. I get it, Bibi complicates the issue.
the main driver of the violence is the country bombing them into oblivion and cutting off their utilities and food supply lol imagine telling the jews they just needed to stop hating hitler so much and stop fighting back.
We can argue about this until we're blue in the face but like I said it would have been good if the ruling entity saw fit to build up the civilian infrastructure instead of building tunnels and then openly bragging how the world is dumb and it's on UN and Israel to protect the Palestinian people(without even acknowledging how much money they stole from their own people and what could have been done with that money).
It's incredibly dumb to rely on your sworn enemy to supply you with electricity, water, etc. It's akin to Russia expecting Ukraine to let Russian gas transit through Ukrainian territory.
