Pretty much all the polls I'v seen had potential Dem voters vastly in favour of putting more pressure on the Israelis and making commitments to do this. To me this is a non argument when the reality is they carried on propping up genocide because they and their backers wanted to, same way Harris offered so little generally, the few progressive ideas which did come out quickly got sat on.I think it's a reaction to the fact that weapons shipments weren't hampered going to Israel. What people fail to understand is that it was a no-win scenario.
The weapons get cut - The undecideds come out in droves against Harris
Harris stays the course - The Muslim population doesn't vote for her.
If those voters think that Trump will just come down on Bibi like a ton of bricks, well...
I've got some PRIMO oceanfront property in Wyoming that I'll let go for a SONG.
For all the rhetoric against Trump I think the reality is it mostly an election tactic by the Dem establishment, in reality there actually much happier with Trump in the Whitehouse than they would be having to shift in a progressive direction and espically having cut back on support for the Israeli's genocide.
You saw the same in the recent French elections, Macron's campaigning was focused mostly on voting for his party to keep out the far right yet when the left actually won the most seats what did he do? totally cut them out of power and instead worked with the far right.
