International Hamas launches surprise attack on Israel; Israel has declared a state of war. Vol. VII

I'm not entirely convinced.

And it's weird to Google 'Netanyahu demands return of hostages' and get nothing. Nothing. It's almost like he and the Israeli government don't give the slightest fuck, mate.

Netanyahu will be forced to or face global ostracization. Just GOP donations from the U.S. won't help if he kept the war going.

Kind of weird to say this now that there have been multiple high profile rescue operations publicized where the Israeli government didn't just demand the return of hostages, but actually freed them or recovered their remains.

It doesn't seem to be very high priority with minimal statements and minimal rescue attempts.

The war has been going on for eight months.

Very occasionally they will do an appeasement raid where they kill a lot of Gazans, but it's rare. And Netanyahu very rarely talks about it as he doesn't give a shit.

lmao.

They only literally tell literally the entire world with the combat footage every time it happens. But sure they didn't mean it.

They probably planted those hostages just so they could kill the poor Palestinians who did nothing wrong.

Hamas does care about Palestinians. Theyre the only group willing to die for them. The war is not on Hamas. Its on Palestinians. Hamas/Al Qassam is the armed wing of the Palestinians in Gaza. The Israelis see the killing of Hamas and the Palestinian civilians as the same. The point of the starvation isnt to harm hamas directly but to starve their families and their civilian base. This will make the settling of Gaza with Jewish settlers easier.

No. Hamas is far more happy to let Palestinians die for them than vice versa from my observations. Not to mention the crimes they've committed on both parties [ Israelis and Palestinians]

They aren't dying for Palestinians mate

as well as a current ceasefire offer that includes hostages being let free.

Got curious about the water situation. Highly Interesting read. Pretty fucking mental

This was back in 2017

While restricting Palestinian access to water, Israel has effectively developed its own water infrastructure and water network in the West Bank for the use of its own citizens in Israel and in the settlements – that are illegal under international law. The Israeli state-owned water company Mekorot has systematically sunk wells and tapped springs in the occupied West Bank to supply its population, including those living in illegal settlements with water for domestic, agricultural and industrial purposes. While Mekorot sells some water to Palestinian water utilities, the amount is determined by the Israeli authorities. As a result of continuous restrictions, many Palestinian communities in the West Bank have no choice but to purchase water brought in by trucks at a much high prices ranging from 4 to 10 USD per cubic metre. In some of the poorest communities, water expenses can, at times, make up half of a family’s monthly income.

Israeli settlers living alongside Palestinians in the West Bank – in some cases just a few hundred meters away – face no such restrictions and water shortages, and can enjoy and capitalize on well-irrigated farmlands and swimming pools.

In Gaza, some 90-95 per cent of the water supply is contaminated and unfit for human consumption. Israel does not allow water to be transferred from the West Bank to Gaza, and Gaza’s only fresh water resource, the Coastal Aquifer, is insufficient for the needs of the population and is being increasingly depleted by over-extraction and contaminated by sewage and seawater infiltration.

The resulting disparity in access to water between Israelis and Palestinians is truly staggering. Water consumption by Israelis is at least four times that of Palestinians living in the OPT. Palestinians consume on average 73 litres of water a day per person, which is well below the World Health Organization’s (WHO) recommended daily minimum of 100 litres per capita. In many herding communities in the West Bank, the water consumption for thousands of Palestinians is as low as 20 litres per person a day, according to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). By contrast, an average Israeli consumes approximately 300 litres of water a day.

Has Israel actually accepted that proposed offer? Because the one I saw was hella unlikely

They're literally attacking entire areas of cities including refugee camps and safe zones, and occasionally bring out 4 hostages.

You can't seriously think they enter those cities for those hostages? They're a bonus PR prize, ya plonk lol

The only reason they interact with the Palestinians at all at this point is to get back the hostages.

You're entirely subverted by propaganda.

You excused Saudi Arabia, the defacto Arab leader in the region, because they aren't a humanitarian nation - while trashing the only major humanitarian nation trying to help.

That's pretty funny.

Lol

What in the fuck am I excusing Saudi arabia from.

Ummm. Yeah saudis aren't a humanitarian nation lol. I fail to see your point on that.

We are talking about Palestinians starving because aid can't be delivered..... the aid Is paid for waiting to go.

But instead you want me to pivot to well its Saudi arabias fault they should be providing more aid ? Wtf?

Which I agree with btw. ( they should provide more aid ) But what a stupid tangent . Absolutely irrelevant.

The pier was a epic fail In terms of its mission

It's Israel's fault the food and water situation in Gaza. Not usa's
Saudi royal family and their government is scum.

The aid is already there for Palestinians. Not a dime has to be spent by usa. Israel or saudis.

I don't care who's paying for the aid ... you're completey right.

this is me excusing Saudi arabia and trashing usa lol. Fuck me you guys are precious

You wish that was true, and it's actually quite a nice idea.

But it's fantasy.

Sorry.

Per today:

The IDF meanwhile said that its troops were “continuing intelligence-based, targeted operations in the area of Rafah”. It added that they had located weapons, struck structures rigged with explosives and eliminated “several terrorists” in the Tal al-Sultan area.

The sole focus is still the completely arbitrary and vague aim of destroying Hamas without any metrics or idea how close or how far way they are from that intentionally obscure target.

It's kind of redemptive for anyone that believes the aim is hostages (no one ever said that), as it shows you aren't as inhumane as the Israeli government. But its still just a rewriting of reality to make it more palatable and understandable.

Sorry. Your comfort blanket is a lie, what matters is more killing.

NOTE: This might suggest America is getting more security blanket-like propaganda to make Israel look less monstrous.

Lets say Saudi did want to help, are they supposed to invade and break the blockade and kick out the Israelis from the border to allow aid to come in? That is the issue currently, the aid cant get in. Theres more than enough aid ready to go in, the issue is they arent allowed in.

I'm sure Israel would let them use their military to build a pier ;)

It literally is true, and this is literal fan fiction that the IDF is just killing people for sport.

You're subverted.

The problem with this thread is the pro-Israel crowd are so convinced they're right, you guys don't stay up to date with the information, and use any media as confirmation bias only.

Still nobody has produced any statement from Netanyahu demanding the release of hostages. Why?

Israelis are protesting en masse, and have been for some time, demanding focus on freeing hostages. Why?

The answer to these questions, and the reason for uproar in Israel is because you are wrong. Factually, categorically wrong. It doesn't matter if you post in good faith, or if someone likes your post in equally good faith, if it all seems rational to you, you are wrong, sir.

We are entering a 'Week of Disruption' in protest against the Neyanyahu government, this is as a direct result of this conflict.

They are being forcibly cleared by police because the government has lost control because it cannot justify or excuse it's actions. Obviously they don't need to justify it to people like you, you're already bought in, you're just wrong. You are wrong.

Stay up to date and read, stop just assuming you have to post to justify your perennial stance.

“The government repeatedly fails to protect Israel’s security and care for its citizens,” he said. “It prioritizes political survival over the national interest, as we have seen in dozens of examples in recent months, from the shameful [military draft for Haredim] evasion law, through the failure to promote the hostage deal or [a plan for] the day after in Gaza, to the abandonment of the citizens of the north.”

Protests against the government, including weekly Saturday night demonstrations calling for a hostage deal, have been gaining steam in Israel over the last several months, amid broad discontent with the management of the war against Hamas in Gaza and the ongoing fighting with Hezbollah along the Israel-Lebanon border.

June 15: Tens of thousands of protesters demand hostage deal, elections at nationwide rallies

Netanyahu is doing nothing to release prisoners unless the IDF stumble upon them in their constant raids on a civilian population. He will not even publicly speak about hostages, YOU. ARE. WRONG.

You kinda need to wake up, mate, but I'm not gonna have a real hard go at you or anyone else at this point because I'm assuming all you're seeing on media and news channels is that Israel are desperately trying to save hostages and that's infuriating for anyone with a pro-Gaza, pro-civilian stance

Israel is increasingly furious not pro-Gaza types, but you're sat behind a computer saying it's all fine.

Well fuck hey

Netanyahu dissolved his war Cabinet. How will that affect cease-fire efforts?

JERUSALEM (AP) — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu disbanded his war Cabinet Monday, a move that consolidates his influence over the Israel-Hamas war and likely diminishes the odds of a cease-fire in the Gaza Strip anytime soon.

Netanyahu announced the step days after his chief political rival, Benny Gantz, withdrew from the three-member war Cabinet. Gantz, a retired general and member of parliament, was widely seen as a more moderate voice.

Major war policies will now be solely approved by Netanyahu’s security Cabinet — a larger body that is dominated by hard-liners who oppose the U.S.-backed cease-fire proposal and want to press ahead with the war.

Netanyahu is expected to consult on some decisions with close allies in ad-hoc meetings, said an Israeli official who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to brief the media.

Nah, the IDF is doing everything humanly possible to locate and extract the hostages from Gaza.

That's one thing about the conflict I'm absolutely certain about.

This is just a silly emotional gish gallop because you're extremely subverted by online media.

You're too confident in your own opinion being factual to tell someone else they've bought into propaganda. You are just as likely to be wrong as the person you're arguing with. Realize you know very little. Just like everyone else in these forums knows very little.

It's clear that you believe the Israeli government is not prioritizing the hostages highly enough, that's fair, but to say they don't care at all about the hostages is absurd. You can't know this.
