Halo: Master Chief Collection is coming to PC on Steam! Halo 4 Nov 17th

WTF? I don't get it, the title Halo:Reach is included in the core MCC package. Yet I went to the standalone page for Halo linked at MCC's homepage, and it doesn't indicate that it is extra DLC for Reach itself. It notes on the page for the $9.99 purchase that, "Requires MCC base game to play". It also says this on the MCC description page:

They are releasing them separately. Only Reach is coming out now and then staged roll outs for the rest.

I wanted to play in order, meaning halo 1, 2, and whatever comes next and im only interested in single game play.

Halo 1 won't even be available?

Halo 1 will be the next release followed up 2, then ODST then 3 and then finally 4.

It is going by story order instead of original release order.

I agree, it looks awesome, and plays butter smooth for me, but the audio is fucking abysmal. Everything is muffled, and there's tons of crackling/popping, you experiencing that?

I understand it's a big problem for many, and there's no fix that I can see. I was hoping I'd be spared, as not everyone seems to have the issue, but fuck me lol

Yeah, it's a prequel, and something we kept hearing about in the games. I think there was a novel written about it long before Bungie made it. It was their last Halo title.

Hopefully we don't have to wait too long til Halo 2+3. Reach is alright, but it's probably my least favourite in the series.

Played some MP games earlier. Aiming feels a little floaty and theres slight input delay using m+kb but it's not terrible. its still satisfying popping domes with the DMR.

I haven't experienced crackling/popping but in the first mission the gunfire sounds sounded really subdued. I turned down the music volume a little and it seemed better in the second and third missions.

In the firefight match, the gunfire (both human and Covenant) sounded pretty good. It's not ideal but it is what it is for now... Hopefully the fix comes soon.

That's right and the novel was Halo: Fall of Reach.

I read it a couple of years ago and highly recommend it, I believe it came out a year before the first game did.

i bought this wanting some halo 3 and not realizing it was staggered release. So far this is my first time through the first few halo games and they're alright. I don't like the low volume but everything else is ok so far.

Good. Ive recently fallen back in love with Halo.

I bought Halo 2 years ago, even getting windows vista JUST to play it (see, Dizzy, i make financial mistakes too). I never finished it and replaying it now, i have no fucking clue why i didnt.

I LOVE that you can press Tab to see what it used to look and sound like. I accidentally pressed the button to reveal it. The entire time before pressing it, i thought the graphics were what they were when i first played it.

Racing through Dying Light and Last of Us 1 again so i can finish it. Cant wait for 3.

I played the Flight and it didn't really have any major issues so I'm not surprised that it's releasing so soon after the testing ended.

Funny how halo 3 comes out on a matter of hours.
