The Shining for sure, The Exorcist is a fantastic film but come on ... The Shining is the best horror film ever made, even surpasses Psycho

For sure the first Nightmare on Elm Street is much better than the first Friday the 13th but as for the series's as a whole ... I don't know, that's really hard to say, might give the slight edge to Friday the 13th
