Hakeem Dawodu Hype Dead?

Is he the guy who got rocked and then choked out in his debut?

Yes he trains under Irish Edmund. Guys coming out of that camp are known to have terrible ground game. Arnett sucks so it should be easy fight for hakeem

I just like seeing them talk themselves up and then get destroyed in the first round. That Will Fluery one was my favorite

  • That guillotine was TIGHT

...but man he looked lost in that first UFC fight.
He didn't have enough time to look lost. He got caught with the first punch of the fight, which happens.

If he loses to Arnett then sure, this thread is appropriate.

Fuck i hope so his last fight couldnt have gonee worse really

lol He's gonna lose to Arnett as well. And those betting odds for Austin got me licking my chops... Can't wait!

I see Dawodu is getting another chance after that terrible initial fight against Danny Henry.

Is the hype dead on this guy already?

I figure he SHOULD beat Arnett without too much trouble, but man he looked lost in that first UFC fight. Maybe fighting in his country and city should help him.. he was supposed to be a rising star.
Im from Calgary and I didn't hear about him until just before his UFC debut. I wouldn't say there was a lot of hype behind him.

At the beach.

Eating ranch bugles cause they ran out of the nacho flavor, sadly. Full box of milk duds on deck. Got a sweet&salty snickers back at home.

Got myself a beer in a water bottle. Dolphins are cresting. Saw a drone crash and participated in the ensuing laughter.

Reveling in the fact that Colby got his card pulled

excited for Paulo vs Yoel and my gut is telling me Paulo by early KO even though that bet would be wayy too dangerous for me to make

It was definitely a hype-killing performance.

Doesn't mean he isn't still a legit prospect and in fact, in the long run, he might actually benefit from such a shocking loss. Might make him a little more careful and his opponent underestimate him a bit.

This next fight, in his hometown, is make or break though.
