Had you ever lost consciousness?

never been knocked out and ive been hit so hard ive seen stars for a few hours lol....

but i have been black out drunk only on pay day though

I must really be a heavy drinker.
Im blacking out drunk a few times per year...
Strangely never did too outrageous shit.
Have you ever done something that you regret the morning after ? like Ever ? man the things i regret after a night of heavy drinking...i did a lot of stupid stuff.

I have a friend that stopped drinking tequila because of this. His buddy and him kept drinking til they passed out and he’d always wake up with a sore ass for some reason. Probably from the tequila…

not that goddamned long, you beter have that checked out. I passed out a couple times in my life, once when we were kids doing some stupid stunt or other, hyperventilating and then shoving on or chests or something, another time when I was really exhaused and did breathing exercises to get some energy, passed out and banged my head real good. Been knocked down in fights and sparring a couple times, no real physical pain and I got right back up both times.

Seriously, assuming you weren't dead drunk when it happened getting knocked out by a fall and being unconscious for more than a minute is a potentially serious head injury / concussion.

Go see a doctor OP!

I've only gone out once in jiu jitsu, we were doing a live drill where one partner starts with a guillotine that gets progressively tighter in each round. The first round is just having one arm on then it escalates until you start the round in a fully locked in guillotine.

So on the fully locked choke round, I'm defending, defending, trying to keep good posture, looking up so my partner can't push my head down into the choke.....

then all of a sudden I'm looking at the ceiling tiles. Why am I looking at the ceiling tiles? When did I start laying on my back? Oh, yeah, I'm at the gym.

My partner was FREAKING OUT, had to calm him down and let him know I was ok.

Apparently my neck made an audible cracking noise when I went out, and I was only out for 15 seconds or so, but with the neck pop and me going limp he was genuinely concerned that he had killed me.

I can get pretty stupid sober tbh.

The difference when drunk is my ability to read the room.

I can't recognize who's upset or uncomfortable wirh what comes out of my mouth sometimes.

I've been choked unconscious three times in jiu-jitsu. I felt embarrassed immediately afterward, but then grateful that I didn't shit or piss myself.

I got koed pretty bad last year, I got hit with a beer bottle thrown out of speeding vehicle by some less than friendly new canadians square on the chin.

When the cops showed up they told me that they had a pretty good idea who had done it as a group of teenagers had been doing this for months, no punishment whatsoever. I was having a hard time making my statement because not only had I just been sleeping but I was super drunk, so halfway through they just said forget it, this won't go anywhere this is taking too long and your drunk, this is despite the fact they knew who it was and my gf gave them the plate number

Thats What happened to me, thats why i rarely go to event when i know i will be smashed that night.

OP has a concussion for sure, just the degree of severity at this point. Probably mild, but if/when it's your first one, it doesn't seem mild. If you were out an hour, it was a good hit.

Gone out twice in hockey (once going headfirst into the boards, the other time I was blindsided with a dirty shoulder check), had a skateboarding accident (worst one by far), been choked out in practice, and I am sure there have been others. Never been KO'd from a punch but have had my bell rung more than once and been dropped.

Going out is a weird feeling, you get that blackness and stars setting in and your knees go to rubber. Sometimes you can collect yourself enough to outlast it (take a knee, lean against a wall/buddy etc), and sometimes you just go out. I had effects from the skateboarding accident for the better part of year.

Something very freighting. Yesterday night i had to go downstairs but on my way down it was dark and I fell down the stairs , I woke up 1 hour later , the cat came near me and woke me up in the end of the stairs in the basement. Luckily I’m ok but I’m surprise that I went completely out for at least one hour. Have you ever lost consciousness ? Because of a good punch , or by seeing blood for example.

Please go to a hospital and have them check for a brain bleed. While you are probably fine, being unconscious for 1 hour is no joke. You are almost certainly concussed.

I knew a guy who had fallen and hit his head at work. He said he was fine and refused medical treatment - went home that night and began to lose motor function and speech. They rushed him to the hospital where they discovered he had a brain bleed. He had emergency surgery and spent months in rehab.

Yeah I was playing catcher in high school with no mask/helmet, just practicing. My friend who was pitching could throw hard and the ball skimmed the top of my glove and hit me in the forehead. I remember getting hit and the next thing I knew the guy who threw it was standing over me. I had a lump on my forehead with the seams of the baseball for a few days.

I remember going to class after that happened and my teacher took one look at me and said no go to the nurse.

This was a couple yearsa ago. I woke up lying on the kitchen floor, with no idea how long I was there. It was like I was paralyzed and could barely move. It took me about 30 mins to stand up and get back to bed. I still have no idea what happened. Pretty scary.

If nothing was physically wrong with you and you don't remember how you got there... did you take ambien?

It's known to contribute to freaky sleepwalking shit.
