MMA Junkie has two articles on it's front page. One about how Conor says he'll never shy away from a challenge.

Right under it is an article about how Conor will now return to FW. Back to cutting massive amounts of weight to get an advantage over the guys he, himself, called "midgets". Maybe he's not running but the word scurrying comes to mind.

conor and his coach stated months ago that after 196 they would give frankie his shot

I think the recent articles that have come out were probably accurate. Even Dana, for once. I think if Conor had looked good and beaten Diaz easily, he'd have vacated the FW belt. I can't imagine he's looking forward to those huge weight cuts again but after this he'll have to if he wants to stay relevant.

the best thing would be vacate 145 and climb 155 rankings from the bottom. the weight cut is too much

I hope Aldo gets the rematch and doesn't pull out. We all know Frankie will pitter patter and wrestle Conor. Ado deserves it too being one of the most dominant champs for awhile.

I agree with you but he was obviously trying to strike while the iron was hot by moving up against RDA. I can't really blame him for that but now he has no choice. The luster is tarnished and he has to return to FW to try and regain some of it. He's gonna be up against it now against Edgar. If he now loses to Frankie, he'll have nowhere to go while maintaining the same level of $$ and power in the sport.

Too big of a name to start from the bottom. And I doubt he wants to fight the Khabibs and Alvarezes of LW. He'd get laid on.

if he can't overcome those challanges then he doesn't deserve the fame and this comes from a big fan

He most definitely deserves the fame, the guy is a character and a very entertaining fighter. But 155 is full of unfavorable match ups. 145 should be his weight class.

No he doesn't shy away from challenge before fights, he shy away from challenge in a fight.

but with nate when connor throwed his best shit and was eating shots in the 2nd - he realized he had nowhere to go and gave his back and neck to nate.

everyone would take fights for 1 million bucks, i think alot of UFC fighters won't shy away from that.
