so i had my appendix taken June 1st it was, laparoscopic appendectomy

i had the staples taken out June 7th

My question is the doc told me nothing physical for 4 weeks then i go back to my normal routine but didn't clarify from the surgery date or the date of the staples being taken out.

thoughts?

Should be from date of surgery. But your Dr would be better source of information than Sherdog. You never know what response you'll get here.

Take it slow, don't jump the gun, keep moving, but don't overdue it..heal up.

yeah I've tried getting ahold of him but he isn't my primary just the dude that did my surgery its been pretty difficult to get ahold of him.

oh wow you don't think i tried to get ahold of the dude that the surgery?

hasn't returned my calls why would resort to asking here?

jackass

You sound poor. Which free clinic have you been going to? I'm not sure you're going to get too much information from the abundance of PhD's on Sherdog, they're pretty busy at work right now.

You have at least 4 weeks to get in touch with your doctor for clarification OR you could just do 4 weeks from the time the staples are taken out just to be safe.

Nah, let's ask the forum of non-doctors on Sherdog and take their advice.

That makes sense. I bet if you ask your primary, he’ll know the answer. At the very least, his receptionist/secretary can get hold of the surgeon easier than you can. I’m guessing it’s 4 weeks from surgery.

thought: I think you should ask the doctor.

comment: I had mine taken out too. The surgeon told me it was the biggest she'd ever seen. No lie. It was twice as large as a normal sized one, , and that was before it got inflamed. I asked to keep it but they told me that's not a normal practice.

haha damn that sucks i got lucky and had laparoscopic appendectomy which is the easiest to bounce back from

to bad they didn't let you keep it you couldve been a savage and ate it right there

I didn't have staples. I only had internal stitches and some sort of sticky bandage that I had to keep dry until it fell off on it's own. Surgeon had me back at 1 week and 2 weeks after surgery. At 2 weeks I could do a crunch without much pain so they released me back to work.

Oh, you scamp, you.

So when you went and interviewed at McDonald's for your first and current job and the manager read your resume and said, "Sounds like you didn't have much of an education and would fit right in here," you questioned him? Probably not.

Dude, just go into Super Saiyan mode. Your appendix should be fine. Your advanced AIDS onset and multiple Hepatitis strains are another story.

did you have a ridiculous amount of gas to pass after the surgery?
