Had Joanna legitimately won round 5, she'd still have lost 48-47 across the board.

If that had been the case, I and many other would have had it 48-47 to Joanna, giving her 3, 4, and 5. Thus, the controversy would be bigger, justified, and it'd arguably be a robbery. We might even be calling for a rematch.

I don't think there should be any controversy, personally I scored it for JJ, I thought she out struck her opponent. The fight was close and I could see how some judges might think the bald boy won, he may have landed a better percentage and maybe they thought she did more damage. Close fight that could of went either way really and I don't have a problem with the judges decision, neither stood out as a clear winner to me but I scored it for JJ due to more landed strikes. The same bullshit happens all the time when close fights go to the judges, there's always one side complaining.

there is zero controversy. rose was edging out the round prior to the TD and the TD clinched the round for her. joanna has been annoying me with her talk of being robbed. sure, she out struck Rose with leg kicks and a jab mostly. other than that rose pretty much bettered her on any of the exchanges

Very few people are saying Joanna won the fight overall. A fairly large contingent thought the fight should have been scored 48-47 Rose instead of the 49-46 all three judges gave to Rose. I think a majority saw the fight as 1,2,5 Rose and 3,4 Joanna.

So not much of a controversy to speak of, because most people thought the right fighter got the nod.

If you watch the fight without commentary the fight seems to be a draw.

JJ landed ALOT of punches.

The times where it seemed like her head jerked back after a punch was because of her late reaction to the punch.

The person I saw it with also agreed and she doesn't have a "dog in the race."

I saw both fights today with Joe's commentary and WOW what a difference it makes. It seems like JJ was getting utterly destroyed, but without sound and watching very carefully, it was even. I think JJ face also swayed judges alot. We all know the judges ALL SUCK! also we thought it was a draw overall.

Right, so if you saw the fight as 1,2,5 Rose and 3,4 Joanna like most fans did, then you disagree with all three judges who saw it 4-1 Rose, which is the very minor controversy at play here.
